I’m Looking Through You in Spring 2012′s Clearest Trend

Edited by

Surely sheers are sexy. They are the reason so many nipples exist on the runway. Clearly, we won’t be wearing them commando commes des models, rather these sheers are a sign that reads: make sure you are buying fantastic undergarments. Bandeaus, booty/bike shorts, itty bitty camisoles and more clothing-less-lingerie-like bras. Spring 2012 will be free of inhibition. Just ask Alexander Wang, Peter Som, Marc Jacobs and sensational others.

All in One: Fall 2011 Luxury Campaigns

The Tents, A History of New York Fashion Week

Edited by

I just sneak previewed the film that has crept its way into the belly of New York’s fashionable whale. It found three glasses of Chandon and a dime-size hors d’oeuvre dinner. It also found the history of New York Fashion Week, which evolved from a goose chase of Manhattan’s shabbier locales to an editor-friendly runway machine inside Tents that house the most fabulous of circus on the planet. The Tents: The NY Fashion Week Documentary gives a proper remembrance to the 18 years in Bryant Park where fashion changed. Through interviews with Donna, Calvin, Betsey, Isaac, Carolina, Zac, Tommy, editors and NYFW creators, we get an über dramatic (“Editors had to take taxis all over town, HORRIBLE!”), yet pretty darn accurate collective fashion saga. Watch the chill-inducing trailer here.

MALE MODEL HUMPDAY: The Lutz Life

Edited by

Kellan Lutz, actor, model, noted brickhouse. Best known for his role in Twilight — though I prefer Taylor Lautner any day of the week — Lutz has flexed his considerable model muscle before for Calvin Klein Underwear. This time around Kellan is whoring himself out for his own line, Abbot+Main by Dylan George, a collaborative effort with Dylan George founder Danny Guez. This Male Model Humpday we get a look at the new line’s fall campaign featuring a very shirtless Lutz having a roll in the figurative hay with model/Adam Levine galpal Anne V., shot by Yu Tsai.
