Fashion Police: NYC Anti Counterfeit Bill will Arrest You for Buying Fake

Edited by

The devil doesn’t wear Prada. The devil wears fake Prada. Counterfeiting in the fashion industry accounts for over $250 billion in losses for businesses, not to mention drug trafficking, terrorism and the most despicable labor conditions on the planet. Harper’s Bazaar and the City of New York are both taking action against this heinous smirch on fashion.

INTERVIEW: Colette Malouf, Inspired by Family, History & NYC

Edited by

Colette Malouf is a lifetime New Yorker. Born, raised and currently creating in SoHo, she has been surrounded by the energy of emerging artists, both in her neighborhood and family, her entire life. There was never a shortage of elegance or grace in Colette’s home, and we are lucky to have that sophistication translated into her gorgeous hair accessories and costume jewelry. While the raid may be in attempt to rid New York’s streets of counterfeited goods, this is good news for designers whose goods had been ripped off!

STREET HEROES: Corey And Kirby Do NYLON TV

STREET HEROES: Corey And Kirby Do NYLON TVSTREET HEROES: Corey And Kirby Do NYLON TVWalking down Canal Street had more to offer Corey and I than a bunch of illegally manufactured purses or poorly prepared fast food last week. I’m not quite sure what they were doing in the China-Town area (then again, I’m not sure why we were in the China-Town area) but we managed to attract the cameras of NYLON TV for a quick little street style video. Corey and I both agree that these aren’t our best outfits, but hey, if they make NYLON TV I guess they’re good enough! Enjoy!

P.S. You don’t have to tell us, neither of us have a future in broadcast journalism
