Of his muse, Givenchy’s Riccardo Tisci says Lea T has a “unique, rare, natural beauty, a combination of purity, hardness, romanticism, and agressiveness: all components of androgyny that are bound to both sexes.” Combining tranny superpowers with fellow Amazonian androgyne, Andrej Pejic, Lea imhabits this beauty in Candy Magazine‘s “Powerful Soul,” shot by Andreas Larsson. Flanked by male models at every turn, Ms. T takes the lead in a series of gender-blurring portraits as well as in a pas de deux with a YSL-clad Pejic.

The third issue of Candy, “The First Transversal Style Magazine,” has 388 pages of trantastic portfolios from the likes of Mariano Vivanco, Ellen von Unwerth and Bruce Weber as well as features on Jackie Collins, Lea T and Jenny Shimizu. And gracing the cover is none other than Chloë Sevigny, posed as noted auteur Terry Richardson – plaid shirt, dirty smirk, black frames, thumbs up and all. Candy, the tranny fashion mag that I cannot wait to get a subscription to, invited Lady Gaga…a Lady Gaga “impersonator” over for a good ole-fashioned game of pee swords. Gaga, naturally, won. James Franco walked away a defeated she-man.

Yes you heard right. The Swedish label Acne has teamed-up with editor of Candy magazine, Luis Venegas, to launch a collection targeted at transvestites and cross-dressers. It includes three androgynous shirts in two fabrics and two washes. Read more…
