1. Soak feet to soothe and prepare: Soaking feet will soften and prepare them for the pedicure ahead. Adding bath salts to warm water will soothe feet and relax tired muscles. What are your tips for keeping hair ultra straight in hot and humid weather?

1. Get a good pair of hair shears. Don’t you dare lift your kitchen, fabric or paper cutting scissors for this task because they will damage your hair further. 3. Separate hair into sections. Looking at your entire head of hair at once can be very overwhelming. Divide so you can conquer and make sure each section is scrupulously taken care of.

4. Prepare your hair for trimming. Work on a small piece of hair at a time to avoid going crazy with the scissors. Hold a piece of hair, no more than an inch long and an inch wide, in between your middle and index finger. Examine the section, looking for the damaged pieces you need to snip.

5. Time to start trimming! Grab your new shears and lightly clip away at those split ends, making sure to snip about 1/4 inch above the damage, cutting perpendicular to the hair strand. Repeat the last two steps with each section of hair.

The best way to prevent split ends is to get your hair professionally cut every six to eight weeks. But there are other ways to stop oncoming damage.
