As many a starlet is aware, looks don’t always translate well from the runway to the red carpet. Nowhere is this more true than in haute couture. Launched in 2008 by the dynamic design duo of Gabrielle Thompson and Shannon Gunn, tom gunn shoes are probably the best thing to come out of Australia since Cate Blanchett and they are quickly making a name for themselves in America. Guests were able to slip into any architectural heel that struck their foot fancy and some were seduced by the sumptuous skins — we’re talking pony, kids —  into buying a pair. Or three.
