The first episode takes us behind the close doors of the committee that chose recent winner Joseph Altuzarra, featuring Anna Wintour in full HBIC mode. Flipping through the lookbook from Nice Collective, Anna purrs,”Well this is just generic…I mean, it’s fine. It’s not offensive.” And then she set it on fire and threw it in Jeffrey Kalinsky‘s face. Even though we’ve been lusting over Spring 2012 shoes for months, it’s now coming down to the time when they’re going to hit stores. Big bowed up boxes like Barneys, Saks, and Neimans now must duke it out, see who gets the best, and the best customers will follow. They revealed some strategy to WWD this morning. Well, Happy New Year to you, too! Thanks. So, your resolution is to hit the gym on the regs? You’re going to need a sensible platform sneaker to get you there. Vogue China suited Ji Lili up sporty ready for some athletic action. Take a page out of this for your own look. Think graphic lines, contrasts and sheer layers with depth. Because you’re obviously going to have a smokin’ hot personal trainer (and/or hot muscly men staring back at you from the weights section). These looks from Ohne Titel, Celine, Alexander Wang and Bottega Veneta will have them winking from the bell bars.

Dior-Marc Jacobs Talks Falling Through

At the glacial pace Bernard Arnault and co. are moving to replace John Galliano at Christian Dior, the ousted designer will have time to finish rehab, mount a comeback, and muck it all up again in another drunken, anti-Semitic tirade. The luxury brand has been in talks with Marc Jacobs for months, which have been less than smooth, but now it seems that Jacobs and Dior might be calling it quits.
