In the world of alt-designers there are the Henry Hollands and the Jeremy Scotts and the Gareth Pughs, all who embody a sense of childlike appeal for today’s youthful fashionista. Well a new batch of designers are hitting the scene, creating performance ready looks to accompany their crazy stage shows. Chicks on Speed, an over the top trio of girls from Berlin have expanded on their “fake” band image (think Flight of the Concords in German) to create a line of quickly selling tees for Yoox.com. As an added benefit, purchase their tee shirts and you’ll get a free copy of their new single, “Vibrator”. Hmm, free vibrator with purchase? I guess Yoox is taking a page from the American Apparel playbook.
