Chivas Regal reps stopped by Fashion Indie headquarters to toast French fashion designer Christian Lacroix. Known for his fantastically fanciful dresses and gowns, Lacroix had no trouble lending his design skills to create the Chivas Regal’s limited-edition, 18 year-old scotch bottle. Verdict: Stylishly delicious.

Here’s the breakdown on Chivas Regal’s Lacroix bottle (and its printed-Jacquard fabric, mirrored home):

• Only 100 bottles were issued to the U.S.; 40 to New York; one stopped by Fashion Indie’s office.

• Retails for $495.

• The bottle is designed using laser etching.

• The bottle label hosts 9 crystals.

• 20 people were involved in the box’s manufacturing.

• And of course, Chivas Regal’s scotch was a legit favorite of the Queen of England back in the day.

Christian Lacroix may have had to shutter the doors to his couture line, but at least girl is still working. Lacroix has designed a limited edition boxed bottle of 18-year old Scotch for Chivas Regal. It’s almost a shame to drink it. Almost.

If you want to live in the lap of luxury, take it from a man who has royalty spelled out in his last name. It looks like Alexander McQueen’s nearly $17,000 embellished cocoon coat isn’t all that’s couture on his finger tips right now. McQueen has a limited edition “couture” bottle of Chivas Regal 18 Year Old available just in time for Christmas. But this bottle of booze is going to set you back a little bit. For the alcohol, the blue leather bottle and the hand-enameled cap, you’re looking at just under $500. Just don’t drink too much of it…I’m guessing you’ll have a hard time finding a place who will dry-clean a $17,000 coat after you yak on it.
