What I Learned from the Golden Globes

Edited by

Last night’s Golden Globes ceremony was a master class in awards show etiquette, or rather, the lack-thereof. Between the magnums of champagne on each table, host Ricky Gervais‘ ever-present glass of beer and the air of forced pleasantries, the Beverly Hilton was teetering on the verge of a knock-down drag out brawl all night. Somehow everything managed to go off without a hitch, and along the way some wisdom was imparted.

DESIGNER TO KNOW: Sunspel

DESIGNER TO KNOW: Sunspel

Whether you’re into the trendy, hipster styles, the classic look or a conglomerate of everything the fashion industry has to offer, there is no doubt that all men love a good, comfortable basic. Bringing our men of the world possibly the most comfortable and meticulously constructed tees, polos and underwear is English label Sunspel. Having dressed celebrities from Casino Royale’s Daniel Craig to The Dark Knight’s Christian Bale, Sunspel items are constructed from Egyptian cotton with longevity in mind. Ranging anywhere from $25 for a classic boxer to $71 for a polo shirt, Sunspel prices are common among the men’s basic-wear market and can be purchased locally at Barney’s New York.

SPREAD UM: Psycho Killer

SPREAD UM: Psycho Killer

Dazed & Confuzed had an amazing spread on their website/magazine that was 100% inspired by Christian Bale and American Psycho. The shoot is supposed to embody the modern day version of the movie, and it’s pretty badass if you ask me. I wish they would have done something with the ATM and the cat though. Which buy the way, am I the only one who thinks that will happen with any of those sketchy ATM’s that just sit in the middle of the street in NYC?

Terry Richardson Tries To “Bale” Out GQ

Terry Richardson Tries To Bale Out GQ

What do Terry Richardson’s camera lens and celebrities have in common?

They are the only things keeping GQ alive. So what if I have a subscription to GQ, I might as well not seeing as though they get increasingly more boring once you’re 15 pages in, and mine get mailed to the wrong address anyways so it’s a miracle if they ever make it to me in the first place. Regardless, here’s Mr. Connor himself Christian Bale posing for the latest issue. I wonder if he went ape shit on Terry?

WTF!?! Batman Full Zip Hoodie

WTF!?! Batman Full Zip Hoodie

Really people, we’re still doing this? I am embarrassed to know that this exists and is in some way loosely associated with fashion. We already know how played out the full zip hoodie is, and this is just over the top. These hoodies are probably what causes Christian Bale to freak out in public. If you’re going to buy this you might as well just wear a Halloween costume out in public.
