The three-year court battle between Gucci and Guess has come to an end, for now, with Judge Shira Scheindlin ruling in favor of Gucci. The PPR-held Italian luxury brand, however, only received a small fraction of the $221 million it had originally claimed.

Generally, you must be famous to have something named after you, i.e. Mulberry’s “Lana Del Rey Bag” or Louboutin’s “The Blake” (Blake Lively) shoe, but we know one 7-year-old diva who has already broken that rule. Slipper company Cicciabella has officially named one of their boots “The Eden” after retired reality TV pageant princess Eden Wood. The boot is one of six from Cicciabella’s new Cowgirl Riders collection, featuring western-inspired vintage prints, designed for your typical trendy tot. Either way, we’re doubly ready for the new breed of neons that are sprinkled with sherbet, the black and white/clear zigging and zagging, and the wedges that will set us over the edge of spring fever. Last night at the art show at The Old School, I spied a hat that would get Monsieur Christian Louboutin’s panties in a legal twist. This red under-brimmed baseball cap piqued my interest as I warned its creator, Sean Kinney of Eddie Eddie by Billy Tommy for Real Quick for Fun, of a potentially vicious lawsuit in his future for Louboutin copyright infringement. Aware of the class action against YSL, he shrugs off concerns of ramifications as a good indie artist should, and tells me where I can get mine: the grand opening of American Two Shot.
