I get severe back and neck pain every time I look at Michelle Williams in this Valentino dress because my brain is sending signals of suffering and agony to the rest of my body. THIS IS A TRAIN WRECK. If you disagree, you are wrong. This is not a matter of opinion, it is a matter of fact, and she looks terrible. Was her stylist wasted when he/she brought this dress to the fitting? I wore a dress like this when I was 12 – I hated it then, and I still hate it now. F

Julie Bowen managed to find the ugliest shade of gray for last night’s Golden Globes. This Tadashi Shoji chiffon gown does not translate, as she looks like a chicken that was plucked and had it’s feathers glued back on asymmetrically. She has a great body, so why hide behind this hideous frock that washes her out? A funny lady shouldn’t strive to look funny. D

Office comment: Drab, like a garden overgrown with weeds

What happened to Christina Aguilera?! She used to be a bombshell, and now she’s just a mess. First of all, YOU ARE NOT CHER. The “strategically placed applique” look of this Zuhair Murad doesn’t work for her because of her curves. And I am not saying she’s pudgy, but sleeves would not hurt her right now. It’s very difficult to wear a strapless dress if it doesn’t fit perfectly. And it looks like she’s wearing a wig! Bad, bad, bad X-tina. D

Everyone in the office is giving me shit for putting Emma Stone in the worst-dressed category, but I really couldn’t care less. This Calvin Klein dress is chic, and I don’t think this blond hair-dying, Lindsey Lohan look-alike has earned the right to wear it yet. Easy A was mediocre at best, I want to see some real acting emotion dammit. The only reason she gets a plus is because her body is great and she can wear this dress. But may she? D+

I weep for Julianne Moore. She is one of the most brilliant actresses in Hollywood, and she constantly makes poor fashion choices. This Lanvin dress makes me say “ain’t nothin’ like mutton,” where is the spit, it’s time to roast this leg of lamb. Really bad color, worse construction and it’s wrinkled. Yuck! It looks like she’s about to enter an amateur jousting match. D-

Office comment: I hate redheads in pink. It was such a green year, and that color looks great on her. Why didn’t she wear green?

It’s a shame half of Halle Berry’s dress got ripped off in the limo door because she looks great from the waist up. This Nina Ricci dress looked amazing on the runway, but it was worn with boots and tights for an edgy feel. This is too tight on her and looks like it might split in the back as soon as she takes her seat. BUT, I love her hair short, and except for the dress, she looks beautiful. D

Office comment: I love Halle Berry, so this upsets me. She can do anything she wants, but not really.

Jennifer Love Hewitt stained her Golden Globes dress at the last minute, so she had to staple this white tablecloth around herself minutes before she arrived. UGH. This Romona Keveza gown was so not a good choice. First of all, SO OVER the big bun. Secondly, she also has a nice, full bust, and this floppy piece of fabric does nothing for it. I hate white, even for wedding dresses, because it’s not flattering and it makes fake tans look more orange than they already are. Beautiful, talented girl, really bad fashion taste. D-

Office comment: A girl with a big bust should wear a sweetheart neckline, something that accentuates but doesn’t let everything flop around.

There you have it folks, the worst dressed from this year’s Golden Globes. I’d love to hear your comments, even though you might be wrong.

Though only out for a week or so, Burlesque may be yet another bomb in what has been a rather difficult year for Christina Aguilera. But at least you can’t blame the girl for trying.

Xtina was actually surprisingly good, but when you go in with low expectations, it’s not terribly hard to be impressed. However, she has a natural screen presence and did her best with a really awful and cliched script. And she sounded amazing.

I screamed as soon as I saw her on screen, I admit it. The icon, legend and alleged biological woman is an old pro. She’s got some serious acting chops and the best parts of the movie were between her and Stanley Tucci. The two of them bantered like a seasoned comedic duo.  And the fact that Cher can emote without ever once moving her face was a triumph in itself.

Burlesque was fine brainless  entertainment, but the main problem was in the writing and direction, both helmed by Steve Antin. What should have been a high camp, showstopping extravaganza was merely a decent 2-hour Glee episode.

In fact, it begs to wonder what would have happened if Ryan Murphy had brought his whimsical touch to Burlesque rather than the “eh, all right” Eat Pray Love. Murphy understands camp. And so does Stanley Tucci, who plays it so gay a sequined Givenchy clutch purse falls out of his mouth every time he opens it. Which is just what the movie needed.

Though fun and featuring some good musical numbers, Burlesque is a bit of a waste of great talent. Alan Cumming was basically scenery. Julianne Hough barely got one dance number. And there was no duet between Cher and Christina. Not even a little improvisational harmonizing. That in itself  is enough to get Steve Antin a drive-by bitch-slapping.

It seemed like a recipe for a fantasia of faggotry:

1 heaping helping of Cher

1 crotchless panty of Christina Aguilera

Add a pinch of shirtless hunk

Stanley Tucci to taste

Voilá! GAY UTOPIA.

So what went wrong?

Okay, I will admit that I have not yet seen Burlesque, but it is at the very top of my list of things to do! Along with: “stock up on Four Loko”, “buy a fur for the winter” and my weekly “stalk Liza”.

But what about you, the rest of gay America? Were you too busy reupholstering your vintage furniture, or painting your newly constructed breakfast nook?

Or could it possibly be that Burlesque is just not worth seeing…?

Nah.

That’s cray cray talk! And I’m ashamed of myself for even considering it.

Well, I’m going to see it this week and will report back on my findings. I may be a little biased, but I’m already stuffing the Oscar ballot in Cher’s favor.

Christina Aguilera‘s had a hard year. Her album flopped. Her marriage flopped. She flopped Samantha Ronson. And then she sweated her way through a so-so performance of “Burlesque” in what one can only hope is a padded suit.

Sad.

But Christina is a diva. And every diva, to earn her diva stripes, has to hit rock bottom before she can rise from the ashes. It’s the rules. So will Burlesque be the bottom or the firey phoenix of a comeback?

Only time can tell. Luckily, Xtina’s got a Cher up her rapidly expanding sleeve. And Cher can turn back time.

Swipe the Mineral Blush on those cheek bones and your ready to go.

With her new movie Burlesque debuting next week, Christina Aguilera has a lot going on lately. The star was spotted on her way over to the Hollywood Walk of Fame the other day to receive a star of her own! Seems like Christina is having a pretty good week.

And my best wishes that Aguilera can find a new stylist because she’s really been sucking at dressing herself lately.

Many are saying that Christina is imitating Gaga, but I don’t think she is… The girls hooking up and bondage attire was Madonna way before Gaga. But I do think she is doing the futuristic thing from a new perspective that we haven’t seen before. I can’t wait for her new album “Bionic” out June 4th on Sony Records!

Xtina has long been called out for trying to imitate Lady Gaga, but I’ve always had my doubts until now. In these new stills for Aguilera’s new video “Not Myself Tonight,” she looks just like Gaga, in fact, I could have sworn this was Gaga herself. Take a look at some of these pics.

I love both these divas and I’m not pointing any fingers but their style choices are eerily similar. If you want to see the whole video you have to wait until Friday when it is released online to the public to view.

I think Christina Aguilera is going through a mid-career identity crisis. She started us off with a young, cherub-like genie-in-a-bottle before moving to the oh-so-fabulous pin-up stage where she stayed for some time. Then she gave birth and started to swing the drag queen look which didn’t sit so well in my stomach. Now, Aguilera apparently watched too much Gossip Girl. Does anyone else see the resemblance to Jenny Humphrey here? It’s the lumberjack-after-a-MGMT-rave-party Jenny Humphrey kind of look that I hope doesn’t stick around for too long. I guess if the singing career doesn’t pan out, you can always be an Urban Outfitters window model Christina.

 Now normally we do The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly, but due to the fact that no one looked good last night we had to change The Good to The Not So Bad. This time we had Christina Aguilera and Demi Lovato. What was holding them back form being good? Demi has terrible shoes, and it makes her look so short and young. Besides that she has a pretty classic look, and she looks very cute.

Christina looked pretty good, however her hair is worth forgetting. She almost looks like she has extensions just added to the side of a short haircut. Despite the hair, not too bad.

The Bad:

Rihanna looked bad as usual. Her hair makes her look like a rooster, and her dress looks like a table cloth with some tule thrown underneath. I’m really over her, she needs to change up her look.

Annie Lennox looked like a man, but that’s ok because she’s a lesbian and well unfortunately, it has come to be expected she’ll look like that. Regardless, she still looks like a poorly dressed man, and that warrents a bashing.

Miley Cyrus is really starting to show how trashy she is dying to become. This dress fully explains why she is dating a 20 year old Ed Hardy model. Terrible.

I love the 60s. If I had my way, I would be at my prime in ’63, jet-setting between London and New York while partying and wearing psychedelic prints and over-the-knee boots. I of course love the revival of the bright, patterned minidress, and Pucci knows it better than anyone else. These are both Pucci dresses, but one is worn well and the other looks a mess. Nicole Ricci did it right. Natural wavy locks, large sunglasses and simple mary-jane heels work well with the busy pattern. But Christina Aguilera is a different story. Love the dress but the bangs are too thin, her lipstick looks radioactive and her eyes are much too stark for such a busy outfit. She appears to be attending the Wives of Circus Clowns Club’s annual banquet. Tone it down woman, and stick to your pin-up girl aesthetic.

It seems that last night’s Video Music Awards were more of a nightmare than bedtime entertainment. If the Disney prepubescent boys didn’t make your ears bleed and the fact that Britney Spears took home three awards didn’t make you check into a psych-ward, then surely the evening’s worst dressed stars made you claw your eyes out. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, the 2008 VMA’s take the cake for having some of the worst dressed stars on live television.

Christina looks stunning in purple as she wishes Macy’s a Happy 150th B-Day is this new ad campaign. Don’t know why they choose Christy, but the ads (due in October) are also set to feature Donald Trump, Tommy Hilfiger, Calvin Klein, and Martha Stewart. All I can say, is that she looks amazing, very signature Christina with dark lipstick, smoky eyes, and bleach blond hair (which actually looks gorgeous against the white roses, not to mention purple is my favorite color.

It is official, Christina Aguilera is coming out with her own fragrance, and I officially lost all respect for the fragrance industry. Guess what it’s called? Inspire.

“Singer Christina Aguilera has channeled the spirit of another American pop figure, Andy Warhol, and melded it with one of the hippest influences in the contemporary world — Tokyo — to produce Inspire, her first women’s scent aimed at the U.S.”

Really, do we need another Warhol inspired product? Bond no 9 already did a perfume. Also, is it called Inspire because it is inspired by a pop icon or because Christina thinks she inspires her audience? Either way, it’s just another bottle at Sophora.
