The Suit: Nothing makes a man look better than a well tailored suit. You can get this Joseph Abboud Profile Double Breasted one to get Chuck’s polished look. The double breasted suit is  not one that  every man wears, but should. Wearing something like this shows that you are confident enough to break the mold and look good doing it.

The Tie: This may seem like a simple accessory when in fact it isn’t. Believe it or not people notice a good tie and judge you on ugly one. To keep with this look a bold skinny tie with minimal stripes will do the trick. You can great a great one like this from GAP.

The Shoes: These must be impeccable. Bad or scuffed up shoes totally distract from the outfit. This is the main reason men should splurge on shoes so they can last the test of time. Chuck Bass would totally get himself a pair of these Ralph Lauren lace ups.

“It would be a dream come true to play Batman in a big blockbuster movie,” Westwick said. “He was my childhood superhero.”

Westwick also says he’d “give my left arm” to sit in the Batmobile. He must be right-handed.

I half see it, half don’t. He definitely has the look, but does he have the attitude?

Before I get into this post it would be a tragedy if I didn’t get this out of the way…Uggs? Really Blake Lively? GROSS!The cast was back in the apple filming scenes for the second half of this seasons episodes. I’ll be honest for a show that used to be so highly regarded for it’s wardrobes I must say it has been lacking severely. The only one remotely fashionable and good looking on the show anymore is Taylor Momsen.

It’s obvious that they were not filming at this time, as Leighton Meester’s character, Blair, wouldn’t be caught dead in Uggs.  Nor would Chuck walk down the street with her if she was wearing them. But Blake Lively, or should I say Serena,  seems to be in character at all times!

I’m so happy to have found out that my favorite couple in the entire world will remain together for the new season of Gossip Girl. The show’s executive producer, Stephanie Savage, told PEOPLE:

“Chuck and Blair in a relationship is going to be something very unique and something we haven’t seen before. They have definitely found ways to not be boring.”

Twilight meets Gossip Girl in this vampire friendly shoot for Elle.

Here’s your first look at Ed Westwick and Leighton Meester’s vamped up spread from Elle. The leather pants and black lipstick make it seem as if they are trapped in some weird Gossip Girl daydream where the two are transformed into characters from True Blood. I totally heart this one.

“I look like chuck bass” – Turtle on last nights Entourage in response to his make-over.

There’s a serious disconnect between the always polished Chuck Bass and the real Ed Westwick. Here he is at this 22nd birthday party which like a good New Yorker he held at Lucky Strike bowling alley. Very, very anti-Chuck indeed.

We’ll start at the root of the problem, Ed Westwick. Ed has a band called The Filthy Youth that he has put on hold to finish up with Gossip Girl. If you’re putting your so called “punk” band on hold to shoot a show called Gossip Girl, you shouldn’t be in a punk band. Not to mention the band really isn’t good. Don’t believe me? Check out their MySpace.

Next up Taylor Momsen. Trying to follow suit with Ed Westwick, she started a grunge inspired band called The Reckless that also isn’t good. Her bandmates suck, she’s awkward on stage, and there is a reason she got cut from being Hannah Montana back in the day, because she can’t really sing. I’ve listened to her songs over and over, and she sings in a monotoned voice. The point of grunge music is to scream and squeel, and while she tries she doesn’t succeed. If she really wants to start a band maybe something the in light of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs would be a bit more appropriate. Taylor has the look, she just needs the material to back it up.

And finally there’s Leighton Meester. Much to my suprise, B can sing (but then again so can anyone with auto tune)! Never the less, Leighton has by far the superior voice to the prior two, but again I don’t know where her intentions are with music. She chose to do her major debut doing guest vocals for the hipster dance wannabe’s Cobra Starship, but I’m interested in seeing where her career takes her. She belongs in pop music for sure.

For all these aspiring rock stars, maybe their music should remain a hobby. They will forever be cast in the shadow of their Gossip Girl Upper East Sider shadows. Not to mention, I thought that Jennifer Love Hewitt proved to world that sitcom stars can’t become triple threats (not since Jared Leto I guess, but look at him now!).

Here’s a video of the Cobra Starship song that Leighton is featured on. This isn’t the actual video, but that kid really sums up my point that Leighton picked the wrong song to debut on:

The CW has long held a spot in my heart for the way they are able to market their teen dramas. Gossip Girl ads are pure classics but it seems that 90210 doesn’t get the same kind of treatment that the folks behind Chuck Bass get. These ads are downright lame. Seriously, this top one featuring that open mouth kiss looks like a poor attempt to play with a blur tool on photoshop and the one featuring Tori Spelling is down right terrifying.  And really Diablo Cody of Juno fame, this is what you’re doing now, really?!?

So glad I choose not to watch this 90′s rehash. 90210, you are so NO.

Hard partying and not shutting his mouth for Crawford’s Fish Sticks  finally caught up to Chuck Bass. In Touch Weekly reports,

“Ed has been gaining a lot of weight — not just around the waist, but throughout his whole body,” said an on-set source. “First, the costume department had to buy him new, bigger pants. Then, his shirts and jackets got way too snug. The costumers even requested that producers talk to Ed — they don’t want Chuck to be fat!”

I knew he was sucking his cheeks in when he talked, but I guess now he needs to suck in his gut.

The show may not be getting all the viewers they want, but their ad campaign have been great. The latest features the shows stars with different words fake graffitied over their faces. I love it! But where is Chuck Bass? Or my personal favorite Taylor Momsen? I would say where’s Vanessa, but who really cares?

A few behind the scenes shots from the Ed Westwick shoot for K-Swiss have surfaced, and they don’t look to shabby. I do think it is a bit weird though, it seems as though Westwick has taken on his character Chuck Bass as almost an alter ego. Westwick and Bass used to have different hairstyles, facial expressions, and all around way they carried themselves. Now it seems that Westwick has thrown out his former persona, and has become a 24/7 Gossip Guy.

THIS MOTHER CHUCKING RULES! The best Gossip Girl ad to date was played during the last episode of the show. If there is some slim chance you live like Daniel Saynt and his new wife Rebecca, and you don’t have a TV (wierd right!), and you watch the episodes online, here it is. Chuck Bass is my idol!

Yes you read that right, I’m over it. I have loved this show since is began, and I will continue to watch it as long as it airs, but it has become an hour of frustration and annoyance rather than entertainment. Say what you will, but this season has been very boring and monotonous. Correct me if I’m wrong but wasn’t the whole show about the gossip and drama around the school and between a social clique? There hasn’t been an episode in a long time where they post something on Gossip Girl in order to back stab someone. This last episode was really the icing on the cake that secured my disgust with the show so far. The opening scene random crap? Blair Waldorf a jealous socialite with tons of money who dresses like a mom for an entire episode? Fighting over a school they probably wouldn’t be able to get into due to the fact they never go to school in the first place. The fighting between Serena and Blair has just become annoying rather than a focus of conflict. The only thing worth watching anymore is the drama between the guys, not only is it entertaining, it is realistic (to a point). The whole show has just blatantly sucked, and has taken a focus on fashion (that hasn’t been that great either) and nothing else. Finally, when I thought I had gotten through the whole episode and I began to rejoice, the preview for next week came on. The next episode is so out of left field and has no connection to anything that has happened it’s ridiculous. In case you can’t tell I am a bit annoyed with the show, and I could honestly go on for days with things that have just been awful about the show. What do you think about this season indies? Anything about the show that annoys you? Lets hear it.

The new J-Crew ads are supposed to be some what reminiscent of every one’s favorite show, Gossip Girl. Uh What? Lets assume that the girl is supposed to be Serena, besides never being seen in J-Crew, she would be decked out in a flashier dress. That Baby Ruth looking piece of shit is not fitting of a Van der Woodsen. I hope that guy in the middle isn’t supposed to be Chuck Bass, mostly because he never wears jeans, and that mix and mash display of dressy and farm boy looks awful. Last but not least, that ugly screen print dress is not fitting of the one and only Blair Waldorf, she would probably slap that poor girl’s eyes round for even trying to look like her. Sorry J-Crew not even you can hack it in the Upper East Side, go back to strip malls in Pennsylvania where you belong.

From Gossip Girl, to Entourage and now an album? Be careful B, talks of an album hit me as a mistake at first, then I heard her sing. Leighton is pretty gosh darn talented if you ask me. Obviously she is no Amy Winehouse (minus the drug abuse), but she can sing a decent note or two. Could this on camera rivalry with Ed Westwick finally start to become a reality? On Gossip Girl Blair is always trying to one up Chuck, and with Ed Westwick frontmanning his band The Filthy Youth, could this be Leighton’s off camera punch in gut? Here is another more rockstar video from Leighton. The song is decent the video on the other hand…Well you get the picture.

Eric Daman, stylist behind the Gossip Girl crew and creator of the GG inspired windows at Henri Bendel, talks about Chuck Bass:

“I love dressing Chuck Bass (played by Ed Westwick). I think we’ve worked to make his character dress really well. I want to try and pioneer a movement where straight men dress better.”

Funny quote, cuz it seems as though many are attempting to dress the straight male, yet once he is dressed, everyone starts to wonder if he is gay, or words like metro-sexual are thrown around. Why does the way a man dress have to do with his sexual preference? Why can’t men be groomed, take care of themselves, and dress fashionable without anyone questioning their sexuality? Have to give Eric props, for making Chuck Bass one of the shows most fashionable characters, but a pioneer he is not…all he did was bring back plaid.
