Getting a tan without getting a burn, for most, is a trick. Even trickier because we know that a burn is far worse than just a few days’ redness; it can lead to issues like cancer and wrinkles, and we simply don’t need that. If you’re like me, and you still love the feel of an oiled up bikini body and its end-of-day results, but know that it’s a bad bad thing, there are alternatives. There are products out there that are meant to enhance your browning capacity and cap the sunburn. Better yet, use an SPF 30 sunscreen as a base layer, and slick up afterwards. There are reasons you want both. So while you’re tanning under the Manhattan sun, here are some oils to try over the SPF.
