Clemens en August AW08 Collection
The latest collection from Clemens en August is following in the footsteps of 99% of the rest of the collections this season. Sorry for the broken record vibe, but this collection is worth noting due to the construction, but it really isn’t anything different from what we have been seeing. The greys look good and the fabric choice is good too. I think my favorite piece would have to be the plain black button up with the white buttons. I like the white on black detail. The collection hits New York in November.
Thanks Selectism.
Designer: Clemens en August
Founded by Alexander Brenninkmeijer (of European textiles giant C&A) in 2004, the German label Clemens en August combines old-fashioned craftsmanship with a unique business model. Each collection, limited to 40 minimal yet funky staples, is available for only three days at a gallery or museum on a worldwide tour of select cities, thus avoiding the expense of a shop or ad campaign. These impromptu images—with latex parkas by Clemens en August— were taken in the last pit stop of Zurich, at the Hauser & Wirth gallery. The label is holding court at the Goethe Institute in New York (1014 Fifth Avenue @ 83rd St., March 29 – April 1), followed by trips to Berlin, Munich and London. So if you love limited editions, be sure to get to the Goethe TODAY!!!
