Complex Geometries: “…Between Good And Evil” Fall 2009 Collection

Complex Geometries stays true to form for the upcoming Fall 2009 season. The collection is bog draping pieces, tighter jeans, and a lot of dark colors. Love the collection, and I’m excited to see that the brand is staying true to what they have come to be known for.

First Look: Complex Geometries SS09 Collection
Check out the new Spring collection from Complex Geometries, the cropped, drop crotch, white pants are killer. The collection is inspired by the culture of mobility, exploring the pragmatics and aesthetics of travel. Functionally, items are designed to be versatile, light and easy to move. Crumpled silk packs small. Coated fabrics stay clean and dry. Light construction means items can be layered, even in warm climates. Draped dresses and vests provide enough space to carry the whole wardrobe in cleverly disguised pockets. Traditional clothing from around the world also influences the look of the collection. Specifically, souvenir clothing favored by Western travelers is further decontextualized in reinterpretation.

I am a huge fan of the non traditional looking tee shirts, they are a great way to dress down and still look really trendy. Keep an eye out for this collection in the Spring, it looks like a great breezy collection.
Thanks to The Fashionisto for the pictures.
Trendspark: Hooded Tee-Shirt
I’m totally into the whole short sleeve t-shirt with a hood thing I we have seen floating around of late. I will give a warning though, this can be a hard trend to pull off properly. The first picture above is clearly an example of an acceptable example. It can be purchased at Oak and is made by Complex Geometries. Howeve, if you descide to follow the trend for the sake of it and end up buying the Urban Outfitters substitute listed on the bottom, you’ll look like a fool. Just like any trend you have to committ and put your best foot forward, and as for me you can count on it that I’ll be at Oak buying the Complex Geometries one this weekend.
