We were invited to the launch of the new pack ABSOLUT – ROCK EDITION. And the Absolut people had the idea of reunite different peruvian artists and designers to create each one a piece inspired in Rock ´n´ Roll.
|MELISSA DEL SOLAR|
Melissa has a very modern and avant-garde vision and focuses on creating high heels as a weapon of sensuality for women. All her production is customized to achieve the perfect shoe for every client she has.
|VACIDE ERDA|
She´s known for design recycled pieces from every kind of textile waste, reusing and collecting different types of fabrics to create a useful object, for fashion and decorating purposes. She has participated in BIENAL IBEROAMERICANA DE DISEÑO and also sells her pieces in the MoMA and Cooper Hewitt National Design Museum in NY.

The starting point of every collection of his, includes a wide range of different themes because he´s a versatile designer that uses his emotions to develop a piece with some nostalgic edge.

Even though Sergio Davila´s style is quite classic, I gotta give him some props for this cool jacket, definitely one of my favorites of the night.

The Mulleavy sisters have done it again! Not only do Laura and Kate have an abundance of successful collections under their belts, they now have a museum exhibit at the Smithsonian’s Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum in honor of their inspirations. From February 11th to March 14th, “Quicktake: Rodarte” will be on display in New York’s Upper East Side. Definitely something you won’t want to miss!
