Nailed It: Jenna Hipp

Edited by

Over the next few weeks, we are going to look at eight incredible manicurists and their over-the-top art in a new feature called Nailed It. Today’s featured manicurist is Jenna Hipp, a green celebrity nail stylist who works with all the big names in Hollywood from Michelle Williams to Kate Bosworth. Her understated, sophisticated nail art never contains harsh or harmful ingredients and has been featured on more magazine covers than we can count. She has even collaborated with RGB Cosmetics on Hipp x RGB Nail Foundation, with nail colors to match every skin tone. Click through for a gallery of our favorite Hipp designs.

SPREAD UM: Corduroy Magazine’s Amputee Spread, June 2009

Edited by

SPREAD UM: Corduroy Magazines Amputee Spread, June 2009For any of you poor, unfortunate souls who had to sit through Lindsay Lohan’s “I Know Who Killed Me,” this spread, photographed by Bill Durgin, probably brought up some bad memories, no? Having a limb amputated is, by far, one of my greatest fears in life, but there is something so docile and ethereal about these edited bodies. Viewers are really drawn into the fashion because naked arms and legs aren’t around to upstage the simple, yet immensely detailed clothing. If I’m not mistaken, I believe the model is Make Me A Super-Model’s Shannon Pallay from season 1. Pallay does a fantastic job of positioning her body to show off the garments while exposing the fact that her limbs (which underwent some intense photoshop!) are long gone. Beautiful!
