1. Loose Change – “Straight from the Heart” (Casablanca, 1979)

Whatever/whoever you do tonight, play this Tom Moulton-produced disco bomb before leaving the house.

2. CREEP feat. Romy Madley-Croft from the xx – “Days” (Young Turks, 2010)

CREEP, the Brooklyn-based duo of Lauren Flax and Lauren Dillard, are loosely tied to the “witch house” scene and cast a spell on you with a little help from Romy of British moodsters the xx who delivers a sultry vocal over this spooky track.

3. Azari and III – “Reckless with Your Love (Tensnake Remix)”

German producer Tensnake took Azari and III’s retro-fitted house jam “Reckless with Your Love” and gave it an early ’90s makeover, knowing full well that when you’re on the dancefloor drunk off your tits at 3am, all you really wanna hear is “Everybody Dance Now”.

4. Rosanna – “Waterfall” (Popjustice, 2010)

Further continuing Sweden’s long-standing tradition of excellent pop songs by one-named female artists, Rosanna uses the “Kiss Them for Me” drum rattle and superimpositions of mushroom clouds to epic effect on this heartbreaker.

5. TNT – Hot Gyal (T&A, 2010)

Dancehall supergroup TNT (made up of Timberlee, Natalie Storm, and Tifa, hence their name) detonate a blast of dutty-wine dynamite sure to keep you dutty-wining well past 5:00.

As with past collections, lots of beautiful patterns, nice tweaks in the details (check the contrast lining in the trousers for all your cuffing needs), and great fits.  And a floral shorts suit.  What more can I say?

A fairly new player in the game, Creep presented a collection at Capsule that was so flower laden it couldn’t be ignored.

Creep has a pretty nice collection coming out for the Fall 2009 season, and though I’m not blown away by the pieces, I must tip my hat to some well done styling. All around good job, nothing more to say here.
