I guess I didn’t get the memo, but according to the Fall 2010 runway shows, showering is so 2009. Designers like Alexander Wang, Acne, Pringle of Scotland, Jonathan Saunders and Cushnie et Ochs sent their models down the runways of Fall 2010 fashion week with greasy and grimy locks, but is the grease-ball trend anything an average, everyday fashionista could pull off? I’m not sure if the greasy hair trend is a sign of style or poor hygiene…

Fall 2010 was definitely time for Carly Cushnie and Michelle Ochs to get experimental. Cushnie et Ochs, only in its third season and notorious for simple frocks and body-con looks, leaned towards the sexier, more flattering side this season with a variety of sleek, criss-cross strap dresses and petal minis. But the experimentation went a little too far when a boxy, padded suit appeared on the runway. Luckily, such faults were overlooked by Cushnie et Ochs beautiful attention to detail. Oh, and from a makeup standpoint…red smoky eye…AMAZING.

The minimalist designs of Cushnie Et Ochs’ Spring 2010 collection have finally hit the pages of the simple, gridded lookbook shot by Chadwick Tyler. Solid colors, avant garde bust lines and strategically placed cutouts can be expected this spring!

Strutting clean-cut silhouettes on the runway, models for Cushnie Et Ochs were able to revel in beauty of the label’s spring 09 collection. Carly Cushnie and Michelle Ochs have created the pieces for their newest collection with great precision. Envisioning a successful and confident woman, Carly and Michelle have amped up the sophistication for their newest ensembles. Sticking with a fairly basic color palette, designs from Cushnie Et Ochs are crafted to speak toward this sophisticated woman. Dresses, shirts, skirts, and pants outline the basic forms of the collections, all in a diverse range of style. The two designers weren’t afraid to add a splash of pink to some pieces, which gives the line a great sense of vibrant energy.
