Following their ban on fellow underaged starlet Dakota Fanning‘s “sexually provocative” ad for Marc Jacobs‘ “Oh Lola!” fragrance, the ASA has deemed the Miu Miu ad “irresponsible” for depicting a child in an unsafe location.

Parent company Prada argues that the allegedly offensive photos is  ”part of a serious, high-fashion campaign” and “based on the set of an imaginary film,” adding that Steinfeld ”could have easily moved from where she was sitting because she was not restrained in any way.” But considering her age, the ASA is standing their moral-high ground. After a series of complaints from a bunch of teetotaling busybodies, the ASA responded with this bit of lameness: “We noted that the model was holding up the perfume bottle which rested in her lap between her legs and we considered that its position was sexually provocative. We understood the model was 17 years old but we considered she looked under the age of 16. We considered that the length of her dress, her leg and position of the perfume bottle drew attention to her sexuality. Because of that, along with her appearance, we considered the ad could be seen to sexualise a child.”

Coty, the makers of “Oh Lola!,” disagree with the ASA, saying that Dakota is not “inappropriately sexualized” as there are no “private body parts or sexual activity” on display and that the ASA is just a bunch of sicko pervs in need of a good lay. Okay, that last part was my own little addition.

Describing the scent as “sensual” and being “more Lolita than Lola,” Jacobs, for his part, knew exactly what he was doing when he cast the elder Fanning after seeing her get all lesbionic with co-star  Kristen “Dead Eyes” Stewart in The Runaways: being banned is the highest form of flattery.

Oprah clearly doesn’t fuck around and considering these were her second and third-to-last shows, I can only imagine what the final episode will  be: disaster.

- Alexis and Krystal Carrington have been turned into Barbie dolls for the 30th anniversary of Dynasty. Mattel has somehow perfected Alexis’ signature snide British bitchery though I was hoping Krystal would have the linebacker shoulders of her real life counterpart. They should’ve just dressed Ken up in drag…not like he has any business to tuck. [Gawker]

Clueless (1995)- If this 90′s classic wasn’t already on your top 10 movies list of style and rich girl ways well then start jotting! Alicia Silverstone is the best prepster out there, and no matter how old we are or how many fashion trends pass by Clueless will always remain a fashion favorite… through knee-high socks, more than enough argyle to handle, feminine school girl blazzers and especially because Britney Murphy was in it too!

Romy and Michelle’s High School Reunion (1997)- A little on the dumb-ass side and I’m pretty sure no one would wear as much metallic and glitter as these two on screen best friends, but it’s still fun to watch their adventure in going back to their high school reunion and dominating the Madonna-inspired blasts from the pasts.

Spice World (1997)- Victoria Beckham‘s style may be taking over the style headlines a lot more than the Spice Girls do now, but it doesn’t mean that we would ever forget baby spice, scary spice, ginger spice, posh spice, sporty spice, or any other spices that I’m forgetting in between!

Jawbreaker (1999)- Catty and backstabbing what other way would a girl like their movies, when you accidentally kill your best friend in your favorite pumps?

The Virgin Suicides (1999)- When it comes to Kristen Dunst’s careless ways she makes any film look awesome! Sofia Coppola (director) filmed the movie in an angelic sort of sunlight state, and with the simplicity of the style on the girls, from sundresses to school outfits, the obsession of five boys falling in love with mysterious sisters begins, and they watch them on the road to suicide.

Factory Girl (2006)- Starring Sienna Miller as Edie Sedgwick a muse of all muses for the New York City life style of Andy Warhol. Not to mention, Mary-Kate Olsen gets her five minutes of fame getting to rock the furs and the smoking glam of this crazy 1960′s fashion filled film.

500 Days of Summer (2009)- Zooey Deschanel would be the perfect heart breaking type girl, with her vintage dresses and humorous ways as she completes every girls dream to crush the boy who’s insanely in love with her in nonchalant ways.

Whip It (2009)- Ellen Page plays a rebellious small town girl who creates a wicked life for herself in Austin, TX. And along with Drew Barrymoore and Landon Pigg she rocks her indie-child style with combat boots, random skirts, and bizarre rock band tees!

The Runaways (2010)- When hearing the names Dakota Fanning and Kristen Stewart you don’t normally think of one on one girl make out sessions or drug addict… which in their case would be a good thing but luckily these two actresses rocked the hell out of bringing the Joan Jett and Cherie Curie’s wild child style to life!

Black Swan (2010)- Obviously what kind of timeline would this be without listing Natalie Portman’s surprise act of dealing with perfection and giving us a mental image of just how good Rodarte ballet wear could be!

See it? I lived in it.

Geriatric perfection.

A few hundred years Cher’s junior, Fanning was flawless nonetheless in head-to-toe, off-the-runway Rodarte for the New York premiere of Sofia Coppola‘s new film, Somewhere. Then for the Hollywood premiere she wore Valentino Haute Couture.

Meanwhile, she’s barely through puberty and is dressing better than half the starlets, twice her age.

And yes I am looking at you, Kate Hudson.

So are female stars dressing better and taking more chances? Well, yes and no. For every Elle Fanning in Rodarte or Carey Mulligan in Prada, there’s bound to be someone abusing McQueen or horribly out of place in Dior.

What we have are young women who grew up on fashion magazines and have a love, interest and knowledge of fashion and dressing up. Fashion is more democratic than ever, so it’s only natural for a twelve-year old to embrace a heady brand like Rodarte.

Especially when her older sister has been turning it out for ages. And with awards season upon us, Elle and the rest of young Hollywood will have plenty opportunities to wow, stun, confuse and confound us.

Sweet sixteen Dakota Fanning won homecoming queen this past week. All I have to say is obviously she’d win, and two ditch the football player. Anyway, congrats Dakota we love the outfit!

Let’s not blame the dress, maybe if she were a bit taller and had a bit more curves in the right places.

Just because Dakota played a promiscuous crazy drug addict twenty something year old along side Joan Jett in The Runaways does not give her permission to actually think she’s that age in real life.

She should stick to making amaze fashion statements with clothes in her age range, thoughts?

It’s the real deal babe, go reck some doors, make out with some hotties, and cut up some tees!

November is going to be an amazing month! I will admit that I love so many of these cheesy cult films, but I think that combined with my Kristen Stewart obsession that is really fueling my love for the Twilight Saga. I think this movie is going to be great, I’m so excited for November 20th!

Alia Shawkat (Maeby from Arrested Development) and Tatum O’Neal (stepdaughter of Farrah Fawcett and youngest actress to win an Academy Awards) have been announced to join the cast of ‘The Runaways,’ already starring Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning. Shawkat will join the five-member girl band with Fanning and Steward, and O’Neal will play Fanning’s mom (looks like she could be anyways). Will you be seeing this in 2010?

We get it Dakota, you’re a big girl now, and with that comes big girl responsibilities like occasionally changing your pun stopper. Okay, the blood is FAKE, but is this honestly going to be filmed  in The Runaways movie?  Dakota get’s a visit from the period fairy and “SCENE”. Gross. So waiting for the DVD on this one.

Kristen Stewart had to cut her hair for a new film, ‘The Runaways,’ with…is that really Dakota Fanning? She’s so much older now! I’m unsure what Stewart’s hair will look like down, but by the way she always has it up, I’m guessing she doesn’t like it. It can’t be that bad! It’s a lot darker, kindof reminds me of Shannyn Sossamon, and Stewie should take that as a HUGE compliment from me.

I love when 14-year-olds make me feel ugly.

Dakota Fanning looked supercute in gray Thursday night at the Westwood, CA premiere of Push.

With little or no makeup to speak of, and a short but tasteful dress, Dakota looks her age (14!), but incredibly classy.

When did this happen? When did Dakota Fanning grow up? Here she is at The Secret Life of Bees premiere looking stylish and age appropriate. A surprise considering it is Hollywood. At the tender age of 14 she’s already been in a Marc Jacobs ad campaign. She is well on her way to becoming a fashion icon before she’s even legal.

Dakota Fanning hit the scenes as a youngster making her big mark. It’s no surprise to anyone that little Dakota has disappeared for a couple of years. Well, Dakota has resurfaced and guess what..She’s all grown up! Ms. Fanning went from gap-toothed little girl to upincoming starlet who has come into her own; however, not without the help of her fabulous stylist!

It has been reported that Marc Jacobs is going back to using models for his fall campaigns. Celebs of the current campaign are Victoria Beckham, Dakota Fanning, and M.I.A., which could not be any more different from each other, or completely wrong for his desired customer. Hopefully, who ever he finds next season can make his clothes look more desirable, because Becks looking like a character for Planet of the Apes does not make me want to buy his clothes, neither does a thirteen year old girl, so lets leave the modeling to professionals!
