Caroling, or the modern day Christmas song incessancy in every public space, is well underfoot. Songs of snow are permeating, and baby it’s cold outside, but it’s not quite snowing. Be the snow. Ahh Memorial Day: beaches, bar-b-ques and bright sunny skies. The first long weekend to commence the summer is upon us, and we couldn’t be more excited to get out of the city and into our new warm-weather clothes. Working in fashion, we know it’s difficult not to be a heavy packer, even when you’re only going away for a few days. Yesterday we saw that bright orange is the new hot color for spring. But if it’s too much for your bod, wear it on your face. Orange raccoon eyes were a hit at Damir Doma. I love the trend, but what do you think indies?

Straight out of Copenhagen Fashion Week, Danish designer Barbara I Gongini sent her dark, deconstructed Fall 2010 collection down the runway, tantalizing those with a taste for Damir Doma and old-school Comme des Garcons. The collection has an elegant homeless vibe to it, showcasing a plethora of baggy, draped pieces with rips, tears and random tied, knotted and braided pieces. The collection is most certainly for the daring downtown crowd, but I have a good feeling those ribbed, spiked and furred oxfords are going to hit the mainstream running!

Damir Doma will launch his first womenswear collection on March 3rd during Paris Fashion Week. Expect the full runway rundown come Wednesday!

Our good friends at Damir Doma are at it again with a set of shoes for their Spring 2010 collection that are going to be the desired footwear for many. The brand tends to keep it fairly simple with their designs, but they produce some of the highest quality product I have ever seen. Love them!
