British born designer Selina Parr definitely paid attention in geometry and sex ed, because this girl knows her shapes and bondage design! Never before have I seen such structural, voluminous design, in Aztec patterns, paired with sleek cuts…talk about going bold! Aside from designing her own collection, Parr assists Damir Doma, one of my favorite men’s designers, in styling. At this point, Parr is pretty low key in the fashion world, but it’s safe to say that her designs  deserve a bit more recoginition.

Thanks Kingdom of Style!

Damir Doma: Paris Is The Location menswear designers

During February’s Fashion Week, I was lucky enough to meet the men behind Damir Doma, and as they walked me through their Fall 2009 Collection I fell in love with the brand. Very reminiscent of a Rick Owens collection, Damir Doma is absolute perfection for those of you looking for a darker draping look. Well, it comes as no surprise that Damir Doma is getting even more attention than normal of late, especially with their new store in Paris! For all you French travelers, I would much rather see this than the Eiffel Tower! For more on Damir Doma, and where you can find the store, be sure to check out their website!

Spring, for Damir Doma, means detail. The Romanian designer’s collection may appear to be laid back with an unfinished relax, but every garment is meticulously tailored and styled to give off the lazy look. Doma constructs some of the most unique pieces any man’s closet will ever see. I’m loving the above knee shorts, runched pants, braided scarves and beautifully cut blazers. To top off a brilliant collection, Doma’s S/S 09 show itself added major brownie points. With the stone paths of a French courtyard as the runway, Doma sent out his three color inspirations: creme, grey and black.
