Victoria’s Secret Angel Candice Swanepoel has clearly been doing some yoga when she’s not flying down the runway in her bra and panties. That would at least explain how she arches her heel behind her back as if she’s about to deathdrop all over Paris’ ball in Prabal Gurung’s spring 2012 ad campaign. Photog Daniel Jackson captured the contorting Candice in one of our favorite collections from last fashion week, with a little styling help from Tiinaa Laakkonen.

Inspired by the darkly romantic characters John Singer Sargent’s A Parisian Beggar Girl and Miss Havisham of Great Expectations, Prabal Gurung‘s Fall 2011 collection was moody, whimsical and chiefly elegant. To remind us of its splendor, a disheveled Julia Saner was beautifully photographed in Gurung’s exquisite designs by Daniel Jackson for the fall ad campaign.
