With Project Runway Season Six running full steam ahead, I can’t help but reminisce on previous seasons and previous contestants, Daniel Vosovic being one of my favorites. Besides last year’s publication of Vosovic’s Fashion Inside Out: Daniel V’s Guide to How Style Happens From Inspiration to Runway and Beyond, the Project Runway Season Two veteran has kept a pretty low profile. But don’t put Vosovic to bed just yet, because come February 2010, Vosovic is slated to release his very own, eight-piece capsule collection sold exclusively on DanielVosovic.net! And if you thought Vosovic’s militaristic twinge would be back in full effect, you’re dead wrong! Inspired by his recent relapse to gymnastics and athletics, Vosovic’s collection embodies the fitted and flexible aspects so common in sports attire. I absolutely love Vosovic’s use of sheer fabrics to give certain pieces a sultry vibe, as well as immaculate structure that he made his Project Runway claim-to-fame with! Look out fashion world, the boy is back in town!

Thursday night, Project Runway viewers tuned in before the premiere of the new season to see some of the most memorable contestants from past seasons battle it out for $100,000. Actress Nicole Kidman made a video appearance on the show that included the announcement that whoever wins will have their red-carpet dress worn to the premiere of her new movie “Nine.”

The designers were all quick to assume that Nicole Kidman herself would be the one wearing the dress, although it was not said who would walk the red carpet in it. Now, season two finalist and all-star champion Daniel Vosovic is making it clear that he wants Kidman in his black-and-white ensemble.

So, now the question is who exactly plans on wearing the dress? Truth be told, someone’s assistant could even be the one on the red carpet to sport it. While that would be a big blow to Vosovic, at this time, it still isn’t clear what the plans are. I guess we’ll all have to wait to see the photos from the premiere.

Who could forget the adorable Daniel Vosovic from Season 2 of Project Runway? Sure, he hasn’t gotten much publicity recently, but his new book, with foreword by Tim Gunn, is sure to bring Vosovic out of his fashion-fame hibernation.
