MOMENT OF STYLE: Daphne Guinness moments of style

Now that Fashion Week has descended the fashion gods upon us we no longer need to look to celebrities for sub-par moments of style. Daphne Guinness, one of my personal favorites, starts off the week wearing leather, sequins and a cage for her waist. Anyone who can sport that combination without looking life a leftover from a costume party/strip club is owning their look.

Daphne Guinness Creates Fragrance

Daphne Guinness has collaborated with Comme des Garçons on a perfume to be released this September. Daphne said she’s been mixing and matching oils and scents for years just to find that perfect one. “I’ll be in airports or in a taxi and the driver will say, ‘What are you wearing?” she says of the perfume. I guess it must be a hit.

Daphne Guinness: New ‘Woody’ Perfume with Comme des Garcons

Picture 1

Couture Icon and lover of incorporating armor in fashion Daphine Guinness is releasing a perfume with Comme des Garcons. The scent is inspired by her past, which could either mean it smells like a Guinesss brewery or a mixture of couture and diamonds. Daphne herself says, “This has a lot of woods because that’s what I love… also the Seventies and moss.” Sounds like the prefect mixture of both.

Fashion Quotable: Daphne Guinness emerging fashion

Daphne Guinness on street style:

Celebrities almost never look good unless they are ‘out’ at something or other, while real fashion animals always look a little interesting, even if they are only going to Starbucks. Individuality will always exist, it’s more that it has become very underground and doesn’t infiltrate the mainstream as much as it should, so you have to search it out, which is getting more difficult, but also more rewarding.”
