In addition to the private jet — flying commercial was out of the question since the 22-year-old couldn’t be trusted to skip the bar on his way to Meadows — Klein is also footing the $35,000/month tab. The Italian design duo sent down their Spring/Summer collection, called The Net, earlier today in Milan. Besides the latest fashions, the show displayed that the brand is has a great grasp on social media. Besides live streaming their show (9AM EST) they also broadcasted comments from online with a screen above the runway.

The designers also thought out of the box when it can to the garments. The show started off with a classic Dolce & Gabbana suit but what followed had me caught of guard. Apparently for this collection it was all about what appeared to be nets. (Hence the name)

The designers incorporated these nets in as many pieces as possible.By many I mean: tops, pants, shorts, jacket, and even shoes. It was interesting  to see the different materials used in the same way from the perforated leather in the footwear to the material that shaped the tailored blazers.

My favorite piece, believe it or not, wasn’t a garment. In fact I have become obsessed with the mirrored sunglasses showcased on some of the models. They will surely be on more and more faces next season

Domenico & Stefano definitely have a hit collection on their hands that will be very hard to top the rest of the week.  They managed to take what one would consider glorified mesh but with the neutral colors and sheer innovation of this collection the outcome became something totally different.

-  Models Agyness Deyn and David Gandy and designer Henry Holland ran the London Marathon on Sunday. Holland shut it down with a time of 3h 28m — maybe his running gear had something to do with it. Gandy came in with a time of 4h  35m and Aggy in 4h 45m, despite bad knees from a skiing accident and running in 5-inch heels, respectively. [Vogue UK]

- Jason Wu clearly needs to get into the prom dress business. After dressing Karlie Kloss in 2009, the designer outfitted junior super Lindsey Wixon for the prom over the weekend. That certainly beats the tacky one-shouldered hoochiewear teenagers wear nowadays that often lead to 18 years of “Nights to Remember.” [Stylecaster]

- The bride wore Givenchy. Natasha Poly married her fiancé in Saint Tropez with the aid of Riccardo Tisci‘s elegant tailoring, a natural choice for the Givenchy regular. Poly looked gorgeous and her new husband…clearly has a lot of money. What? Love may be blind, but I’m not. [Modelina]

- Sister Act on Broadway means two things: 1.) Me front-row screaming “His Eye Is on the Sparrow” and 2.) 7,000 Swarovski crystals running through 23 of the show’s costumes. Patina Miller will don the sparkling habit when she makes her Broadway debut as Deloris Van Cartier, the role originated by EGOT-er and professional grumpygoose, Whoops Goldberg. [Racked]

- Lady Gaga‘s newest single “Judas” leaked on the internet and The Catholic League is already up on the cross about it. The song will be officially released tomorrow, the 19th and the accompanying video will feature Gaga portraying Mary Magdalene. The League had harsh words for the hitmaker, calling her “irrelevant” and “boring.” Meanwhile, pot meet kettle. [Hollywood Life]

Back with the second episode of our insightful video series that show how campaigns are born. Set outside the fictional Sicilian home. The boys, David Gandy, Noah Mills, Adam Senn and Sam Webb have some interesting encounters with water and grapes. The grape starts from being a delicacy to a weapon. In between takes, water is being poured, muscles are being flexed, and laughters are being contained.

While the industry is dominated by doll-faced, lanky females, male models with more classic looks tend to be the most successful. In the midst of a recession, agencies have had to renew older contracts to save money, thusly narrowing the types of men represented. The Cole Mohrs and Ash Stymests, although trendy “image guys,” tend to fall once they’ve been used and seen enough. In addition, those who have been branded to a fragrance campaign tend to endure a low profile in the industry since such campaigns are so publicly widespread.

Hottie (and Madonna’s leading man) Jesus Luz is rumored to be starring in Dolce & Gabbana‘s fall campaign. He will be joining  Adam Senn, and David Gandy and Noah Mills, who are technically all nobodies. Proving once again that a pretty face and a hot bod are all you need in this industry.
