Bergdorf Goodman has unveiled the sensational 2011 holiday windows. The cunning, stunning theme of the season is “Carnival of the Animals” and it is dare-I-say more wild than ever. David Hoey is in his 15th year of designing the epic windows displays, and we really think he has outdone himself. The BG window team spent 60% of the working year on this display. Hoey worked with various artists to make dozens of jewel encrusted fish, exquisite paper zebras and Dalmatians, and wondrous works of fur fronted fashion. It took them a solid two weeks to install the display. And so begins a wild holiday.

This window features metal birds made int he 1970s by artist Sergio Bustamante and a dress exploding with falling feathers.

Each animal in this display is handcrafted from paper (none were harmed in the making - - - except for the furtastic jacket).

This underwater wonderland was brought to life by artist Brett Windham who embellished each fish with rhinestones, gems, mosaic tiles and sequins.

The coldest region is repped by upholstered polar bears, reindeer, and other white snow animals.

In a huntsman valley lies the season's forestry inclination, deep golden browns strike the hues of hides.

High-tech meets high-fashion in a new collaboration between Dell and D.L. & Co. creative director Douglas Little. The designer has created a limited-edition line of opulent Adamo laptop skins, which evoke various “Tales of Technology”—working with Bergdorf Goodman’s senior director of visual presentation, David Hoey, to enhance each computer’s concept with a dazzling display in the store’s famed Fifth Avenue windows.
