Ali Stephens is bringing me back to the glory days of 2006 when Rachel Zoe made celebrities anorexic fashion experts in this editorial. I’m not really sure why, but I think it might be the mix of overloaded shopping bags, straight hair with obvious extensions, constant use of fur and high high heels. Whatever it is, I’m loving the flashback.

However, if you’re a true New Yorker, the lack of layers probably has you feeling somewhat naked as you trek about town in a mere tank-top and shorts. i-D Magazine’s June 2009 spread, shot by David Vasiljevic, shows you exactly how to keep your intricate, layered edge, even during the summer heat. “Suvi In Studs,” despite it’s enviable Alexander Wang leather/denim pants and jacket, is all about the layered chains, studs and spikes. This editorial makes the layereing of jewelry a tride and true statement that the layered look can still reign true, spicing up even the simplest of outfits…afterall, look how awesome the chain and thread scarf looks against a bare body.
