Dean and Dan Caten

RUNWAY: Dsquared² Spring 2010

RUNWAY: Dsquared² Spring 2010 emerging fashionReally, Dean and Dan Caten, are we really joining the overly gaudy, completely unwearable bandwagon, cultivated by Alexander McQueen and John Galliano? I’m basically speechless. The gorgeous silhouettes and fabulous structure of yesteryear have been replaced by  the tacky, camping inspired backpack corset dress, camouflage poncho, fish-net tee and lifejacket denim vests. Blah.

AD-DICT: Lara Stone for DSquared2’s Fall 2009 Campaign

AD DICT: Lara Stone for DSquared2s Fall 2009 Campaign magazinesWhat isn’t to covet about Lara Stone? First the gal gets an entire issue of Vogue Paris all to herself, and now she has three stunning male models wrapped around her finger in DSquared2’s Fall 2009 Campaign. I can’t decide which I’d want more, but I’m leaning towards the latter.

Shot by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, DSquared2 designers Dean and Dan Caten were originally supposed to appear in the series of ads, but I don’t think anyone will complain about the replacements!

Dsquared2 Launch Their Own Radio Show

Dsquared2 Launch Their Own Radio Show emerging fashion

Dean and Dan Caten, the brothers behind Dsquared2, are launching their own radio show, which airs on May 5th on Sirius satellite radio’s BPM channel.

The boys will play all their favorite music, including bits from their runway soundtracks. And aside from their own witty commentary, they’ll have interviews with some of their closest friends – actresses, musicians – to talk about fashion and life in general.

Usher’s new CD may suck major balls, but at least he’ll look good prancing around on stage to that crap. For his new tour Usher was styled by the Dsquared duo Dean and Dan Caten. Now if they could just convince him to take off those stupid glasses.

Thanks to the Fashionisto for the images.
