Fashion Forecasting with Ashton Kutcher

Edited by

You must know by now that Ashton Kutcher is more than just Charlie Sheen‘s sloppy seconds, the airhead formerly known as Kelso, and the occasional actor. He has his mothertweeting hands in scores of social media projects (and in a deep bag of Popchips) and showers investments on ventures he believes in. Like Foursquare and Hipmunk. Well now he’s turned to forecasting fashion’s future of wearable technologies in the coming decade. This is some sci-fi sh*t… and yet somehow I might believe him.

MALE MODEL HUMPDAY: True Bone

Edited by

My heart grew all aflutter the other day when I saw this — a preview of the upcoming fourth season of True Blood, premiering June 26th. Not since Buffy have I been so devoted to anything with vampires — and I mean anything. And a large reason for that devotion is the unprecedented amount of hot male flesh, often naked (thanks, HBO!) parading about on screen. So in tribute to the return of Sookie, Lafayette, Tara (who I thought left town!) and — le sigh — Alcide, may I present to you this Humpday, the male model-esque men of True Blood.

RiRi’s Boobs Move Issues

Edited by

Rihanna‘s topless cover on the January issue of GQ was the mag’s biggest seller of 2010, according to WWD. On the flip side Blake Lively may have bewitched Anna Wintour and Karl Lagerfeld, but her February cover of Esquire, where she’s more or less clothed, was their worst seller. So let’s recap: men love boobs. Who knew?

Falling for Fall Trend: Capes

Falling for Fall Trend: Capes

As fashion trends go, capes are a unique take on the coat, and they’re perfect for that in-between weather where you’re not quite ready to put on your heaviest winter coat. And don’t worry: you won’t look like Dracula. These three examples showcase gorgeous and feminine fashion style.

Falling for Fall Trend: Capes

The KJ by Kirrily Johnston Cape is a casual jersey cardigan cape in gray marle that has a snap closure and gathered elastic collar. It measures 28 inches long from the center of the back. This color goes great with bright red for fall. You’ll feel gorgeous as the colorful leaves begin to fall down.

Falling for Fall Trend: Capes

The Faliero Sarti Cashmere Cape has a crew neck and asymmetric hem. You’ll tell yourself that it would make the perfect Christmas gift for your mother or best friend (and it would!), but you’ll end up keeping it because it’s soooooooooo luxurious in rich, dark blue cashmere.

Falling for Fall Trend: Capes

The Gryphon Double Breasted Cape Coat can be your slightly cheeky answer to the classic Pea Coat. Done in black felted wool with military details like leather tab closure at the neck and antique crested buttons, it’s perfect over blazers and knits. It’s definitely a statement piece, but you’ll wear it forever.

MANGO Fall 2010 Lookbook

The MANGO Fall 2010 lookbook is out and as far as I’m concerned, it’s practically perfect. It has all the elements that I loved on the Chloé runway, like drainpipe trousers, high waisted everything, and beautiful shades of camel. At the moment, I’m not particularly interested in discussing the fast fashion’s validity… I can only say that being able to afford dreamy pieces makes me very happy.  Bonus points for JC Penney adding MNG by MANGO boutiques to select stores next week- featuring new collections every 2 weeks! Again, I really just can’t get into the details of fast fashion right now – I just want to enjoy for a little bit.

BROADCAST: A Taste Of The Ancient At Batyana Boutique

BROADCAST: A Taste Of The Ancient At Batyana Boutique

Endless searches for the perfect necklace or bracelet can be super frustrating but, alas, many times inevitable and necessary. After all it’s the little details and accessories that can really make or break an outfit. Batyana Boutique and designer Rachel Abroms want to make your life a little easier with Abroms’s Mad Coin collection.

Abroms makes coins with timeless designs (a bolt of lightning, a fleur de lis, snake, and lotus) which are dipped in antique gold to give them a vintage look and topped off with Swarovski crystals without becoming garish. Worn by celebs such as Jennifer Aniston in the most recent InStyle, these coins are simple and eye-catching at the same time.
Follow them on Twitter @Batyana or on Facebook for discounts and updates on new arrivals.
