Devil Wears Prada

The Devil Wears Prada, Part Duex

The Devil Wears Prada, Part Duex emerging fashion

Seems like one of the films in competition at the Sundance Film Festival is a contender for the sequel to “The Devil  Wears Prada”.

The A&E documentary is focused on Vogue and Anna Wintour’s preparation of the September 2007 issue of the fashion tome.

I wonder if we’ll get a real dose of the editor-in-chief or a toned down Barbra Walters version.

Guess we’ll just have to wait until the Valentino gowns and Christian Louboutin heels clear before we make any judgments on how this documentary will shape up.

Thanks to WWD for the tip.

Anne Hathaway Glows in Magenta

Anne Hathaway Glows in Magenta all indie

Here at FI we are not always mean and bitter towards fashion. Sometimes, we embrace it, and surprisingly embrace the young celebrities that wear it well. Above, is darling Anne Hathaway, total cutie whom I’ve liked since Princess Diaries, and then fell in love with after Devil Wears Prada. Here, she wears a beautiful magenta colored dress that not only shows off her feminine figure, but compliments her sophistication and elegance. The haircut is darling, and the shoes are a great color for her skin, and do not take away from the dress. The nail color is another story; dark nail polish is very last season!

Chasing Harry Winston (and Louboutin)

From the bestseller of Devil Wear Prada, comes another book by Lauren Weisberger; Chasing Harry Winston

“Three very different girls have been best friends for a decade in the greatest city on earth. As they near thirty, they’re looking toward their future…but despite all they’ve earned—first-class travel, career promotions, invites to all the right parties, and luxuries small and large—they’re not quite sure they like what they see…”

Sounds similar to the plot of Sex and the City! Plus there are Christian Louboutin shoes on the cover adorned with Harry Winston diamonds.  I’ve been seeing this book advertised everywhere, but don’t know anyone who’s read it. Has anyone read this? Comment and let me know if it’s worth reading.
