Back to Block: Amy Winehouse Dress Auctioned for Over $70K
Edited by Lester Brathwaite
Even before her tragic death this summer, Amy Winehouse‘s 2006 studio album, Back to Black, stood as one of the greatest albums of the 21st century. Adding to the singer’s — and that album’s — legacy is the recent auction of the dress Winehouse wore on the cover, designed by Thailand-based designer, Disaya Sorakraikitikul. Originally estimated at somewhere between $16,300 and $32,600, the dress was acquired Tuesday in London by Chile’s Fundacion Museo De La Moda for $70,400.
