The South Parkers are the latest pop culture icons to grace the tees,which in the past have featured Naomi Campbell, Dita von Teese and Victoria Beckham.

Getting Butters to bare all, however, proved more difficult than Jacobs and company president Robert Duffy anticipated. “They’re very, very cautious about collaborations,” Duffy said of Parker and  Stone. “We’ve worked with so many artists in the past, and I’d say Trey and Matt are the most protective of their brand. They were so involved, to the point of wanting to know the texture of the T-shirt and how thick the paint is on the silk screen.”

And sadly Duffy’s dream of disrobing a particular character were inevitably dashed: “I really wanted to do Kenny, but they said there was absolutely no way they were going to let me use Kenny. I wanted to see what he looks like without his coat.”

I am so disappointed by this look on Dita. She has such an amazing body, but this dress makes her look frumpy, heavy and older than she is. I give her props for trying something new, but not enough to condone this sloppy floral outfit. But, as usual, her hair and makeup is amazing.

- Daphne Guinness insists that she’s not Dita von Teese, referencing her upcoming stunt dressing for the Met Ball in Barney’s store window on May 2nd. This dress looks better on Dita than it does on the runway model by far. She is so gorgeous, and I love how she stays true to her pin-up bombshell fashion and beauty sense. Brava!

I feel like the closet door that once held everything I thought about Gavin Rossdale has flown open revealing that I really…knew nothing at all.

Of course, Gavin claims it was only a one-time thing, something done in the carefree experimentation of youth. Marilyn says they dated for 5 years in the 80s.

But who are you gonna believe? The guy who sang “Glycerine,” or the guy who married Dita von Teese and wore fake plastic breasts and a gender-neutralizing cup?

Tough call, my friend, tough call.

In the back of my mind, I can see Gwen readying her army of Harajuku handmaidens who will sneak into Marilyn’s house late at night and replace all his clothes with “Hollaback Girl”-era Stefani couture.

Painting ones nails might just be the oldest beauty trend. The Chinese have been making their nails beautiful since 3000 B.C. using a mix of arabic gum, eggs whites, gelatin and beeswax. Other ancient nail painting practices include stains from henna and massaging tinted powders into their nails. The painting of ones nails was so important to women that recipes for making your own nail varnish was included in 19th century cookbooks. Thankfully, nail polish technology and connivence has progressed.

Nail Solvent, or nail polish remover as it is now known as, was a big selling item in the first half of the 20th century. Something we now take for granted a good nail solvent was seen as a way to elevate the level of the nail polish you were selling.

The selling point of nail solvent can be seen in this ad for on the lower right side of this vintage advertisement which explains how Cutex remover is different then the others because it “contains a very special oil” that will not leave residue on the nails.

Moon manicures were popular with Hollywood starlets in the 20′s and 30′s, so it’s no surprise vintage glamour lover Dita Von Teese is bringing back this nail trend.

Mini-skirt inventor Mary Quant is less known for deciding that nail might not only match your lipstick, they could match your clothing too! Her mod aesthetic required red nails to be put on the back burner, allowing pastels nails to became all the rage.

Pastel nails lead to bright nails, and then darker nails which have been seen on the goth crowd for, well, ever. Male rock stars love this look to, seen above on Jared Leto. This love affair dates back to 60′s Lou Reed when he was fronting The Velvet Underground.

The 70′s saw the rise of the French Manicure, a term coined by Orly founder Jeff Pink and his manicure sets. This muted manicure is considered so timeless that it is often worn on important days such as ones wedding.

Minx nails are the newest big nail trend, as we wrote about last month. These metallic nail coverings have been seen on everyone from Lady Gaga to Blake Lively. Minx is basically nail stickers that are applied with heat and easy to remove.

With so many nail trends to choose from, and more popping up every day, decorating ones nails never ceases to be fun. No wonder it’s been such a long standing love affair.

Dita recently revealed she has vowed never to wear jeans, because she prefers “expressing” herself through 40s-style corsets and dresses.

“I’ve always felt that clothes are an important way of expressing how you want the world to see you. I don’t look down on people who wear jeans and T-shirts, but ever since I was a little girl, I picked out my own clothes.”

I love how corsets look on the body. They tighten the waist, accentuate the bust and give a nice curve to the top of the hips. The modern-day corset is sexy, playful and elegant. But the fashion side of this garment wasn’t always so pleasant. Since I am a huge history of costume nerd, I thought I’d share what corsets really used to mean for stylish women.

In the early 1800s, corsets were seen as undergarments of support for women and girls as young as four. Women were considered extremely fragile and corsets were thought to keep them standing upright. Organs became so deformed by the time girls hit their teens that they could not sit or stand properly without the aid of a boned corset. This is where Hollywood got the idea that women fainted often; but it wasn’t because of frailty but rather the inability to draw deep breaths of air. The higher a woman was in society, the tighter her garments were. Servants and working women didn’t wear them every day because their constraint made it hard to do even the mildest labor. And a loose corset was usually the sign of a promiscuous woman.

So ladies, enjoy the modern-day corset with much reverence for women of fashion past. At least when you hear the phrase “pain is beauty” today, it doesn’t mean a torso full of smashed organs.

PS: Although, we did recently write about the McQueen model (above) who fainted on the runway due to her tight corset.

Yesterday Dita Von Teese officially opened the new Harvey Nichols store in Bristol, UK, looking amazing and glamorous in a baby blue Rodarte Fall 2008 dress and gold Christian Louboutin pumps. This woman can do no wrong, she looks gorgeous in anything that has the pleasure to touch her body. Okay, that sounded lesbian like, but seriously, I’m just jealous.
