On Monday, August 30 BET will air My Mic Sounds Nice: A Truth About Women And Hip Hop, a film that will focus on women and the genre of Hip Hop. My Mic Sounds Nice will take a look at the affects women have had in Hip Hop and vice versa. The documentary will include appearances from a who’s who of female artists including Missy Elliott, Eve, Trina, Yo Yo, MC Lyte, Rah Digga, and more. “This is a story that could not be told by one voice. It required a chorus. And although this story is comprehensive, it is still likely one of many truths about the role of women in hip-hop” said Stephen Hill, President of Music Programming and Specials, in a statement. For the longest time, I have been an avid admirer of Nobuyoshi Araki’s work. His work captures the essence of vulnerability, life, and death. Earlier this year, I easily lured myself and some good friends to prism GALLERY on a rainy night for Araki's opening. Despite the rain, many made it out to Prism. According to a new documentary called Seamless, when you buy a $300 pair of jeans, you’re either paying for: (a) a designer who will defend his vision like his new puppy, (b) the designer’s pain and suffering, or (c) the designer who was wily enough to steal the idea you deem worthy of a couple hundred bucks.

Kate Moss is set to hit the small screen! The model will be found alongside lifelong hairstylist and friend James Brown as he opens his own salon. I’m not quite sure, but I’m guessing the duo is going to be very entertaining.
