Katie Grand -the former editor of Pop Magazine is never afraid of high fashion, and why should she be?

Not only is she wearing a wooly mammoth fuschia pink Dolce & Gabbana Fall 2009 coat, but she also has Louis Vuitton Fall 2009 bunny ears, as a hair accessory.

Her amazing look is complete with Louis Vuitton Spring 2009 heels and a sparkling pink – barely seen – dress.

RUNWAY RUNDOWN: Jean-Charles de Castelbajac Fall 2009

RUNWAY RUNDOWN: Jean Charles de Castelbajac Fall 2009 emerging fashionRUNWAY RUNDOWN: Jean Charles de Castelbajac Fall 2009 emerging fashionJean-Charles de Castelbajac– French for Dolce, Gabbana and Jim Henson…on some serious acid. Daniel might have bashed the stuffing out of the Kermit shawl, but there is something so youthfully whimsical, yet sick and twisted, about Jean-Charles de Castelbajac’s Fall 2009 collection. With the typical D&G leopard prints, primary color plaid and the Muppets as his major focus, de Castelbajac sent out a punky, rebellious collection, poking fun at everything our modern age dubs as “mainstream.” Sure, the collection looked a bit amateur for a Paris runway, but de Castelbajac certainly knows where to place zippers, how to construct uniquely tailored cocktail dresses and what appeals to the crack-heads of the world. This is what I love about the fashion industry- designers who follow their heart, piss people off and have a good time while doing it.

Makeup Artist Pat McGrath recreated the Scarlett Johansson look for the new D&G makeup ads for the

Dolce & Gabbana Fall/Winter 09 show.

McGrath called this look ‘modern Hollywood glamor’. Of course, she used Dolce & Gabbana makeup; powder foundation, a lipstick called Ultra (a great red), and a soft pink blush called Roses. From the Stromboli luxury line she used the light pink shimmery eye shadow, and the black gold eyeliner. She also used a black liquid liner and false lashes.

The above is my own version of this look that I did for a photo shoot…with bold red lips, light foundation, a pale pink blush, with a cream black liner, and I also filled in the model brow with a taupe brow filler.

Brazilian supermodel Gisele Bundchen is on the cover of the 101st edition of the international fashion magazine Numéro. On this dark and artistic cover photo, shot by Greg Kadel, Gisele is dressed in a gorgeous Dolce & Gabbana Spring 2009 ensemble, which actually makes it a shame that the photo is black & white, as the bright colours of this outfit are simply outstanding. Love the cover though, Gisele’s pose and the wild curly hair are fabulous.

I Love A Man In Velvet

I Love A Man In Velvet emerging fashionAnd so do the runways of Milan! Men in velvet are making a comeback in a big way! From blazers to slacks and even vests and tracksuits,it is obvious that mainstream designers like Gucci, Burberry, Giorgio Armani and Dolce and Gabbana are naming velvet the trendy material for guys come Fall 2009. If you’ve got some velvet laying around, break it out and start setting the trend!

The book is filled with sequin, pearl and gem doused garments from D&G’s archives and some eerie, lifelike mannequins. Venti upside-down soy carmel macchiato: $4.50. D&G coffee table Diamonds and Pearls: $270.00. Waking up to brilliant fashion: Priceless.

Moment of Style: Victoria Beckham all indie

Putting the “Posh” in, well “Posh” for over ten years, Victoria Beckham risked looking a little hippy in Dubai this weekend.

Her billowy Dolce and Gabbana dress with corset top practically orbited around her Saturday at an Italian soccer party.

Becks wore a white Polo shirt…

The Blessed: Danielle Panabaker all indie

Danielle Panabaker looked great last night at the Dolce & 4 Flagship Store opening. Her hair and makeup were flawless, and her dress was the perfect fit for her. I will say I’m not a fan of the gray heels, I think an edgy, open-toed booty would have been the right choice. Other than that, I give her the best dressed award from last nights party.

Thanks Fabulousness for the pics.

The Good: Nicole Richie

Dolce & Gabbana had a little get together to celebrate the opening of their new flagship store in Los Angeles last night. The event was packed with stars, so of course we had to congratulate a few, and bash the others. The well dressed celebs this time, Nicole Richie, Paris Hilton (miracle I know) and Rachel Bilson. Rachel Bilson was a no brainer, the blue sequined D&G blazer looked great, and I was impressed that she even knew to get one that was a bit longer too! This was a shocker for me as well, but Paris Hilton looked good last night (with the exception of her wonky eye and stupid facial expression). I liked the prins and cut of the dress, and she even spiced (or slutted) it up with some fish-nets. Nicole Richie looked cute as usual, now if she could only get rid of her d-bag boyfriend/husband or whatever. She rocked the high waisted look very well, and I am intrigued by her little eyeball bag.

The Bad: Lauren Conrad

The Bad: Rumor Willis

This weeks bads, Rumor Willis, her chin and Lauren Conrad. Lauren Conrad is just boring. She is completely monotoned, with no changes in fabric textures. On top of all of this she’s rocking the bow still? I thought we all agreed that we were more or less done with the bow, especially a very boring one. Rumor Willis wore a dress that I don’t think looks too bad, but then her face had to go and ruin it for everyone. I don’t necessarily think the hair color goes well with the dress pattern and her skin tone. She’s getting better though, 2009 is right around the corner.

The Ugly: Ginnifer Goodwin

The Good. The Bag. And The Ugly: D&G Grand Opening In LA all indie

The Ugly: Zoe Saldana

This weeks uglies definitely aren’t the worst we have ever seen, but they are by no means good either. Nicky Hilton decided to show up in her night gown. The dress she wore lacked a chest, a silhouette and color. I guess this is what happens when you are living a life in the shadow of your whoring sister, get out there and suck some dick Nicky, then you can get yourself the good stuff! Ginnifer Goodwin still has me confused as to whether that is jewelry or a detail on her dress, either way if we could figure out a way to make that go away that would be awesome. And last but not least, Zoe Saldana showed up in the worlds smallest quilt that her grandmother made her.

Thanks Fabulousness for the images

Madonna For Louis Vuitton

Madonna For Louis Vuitton all indie

Rumor has it Madonna is going to be the next face of Louis Vuitton. In fact, people are saying the ads have already been shot! Gracing the face of the Spring 2009 campaign, Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott have captured Madonna in top designs. Though she’s never been a part of a Louis Vuitton campaign, she certainly has some experience with Chanel, Dior, and Dolce and Gabbana. Wonder how they’ll turn out!
