- Dolce & Gabbana caused outrage — and protests — among Hong Kong citizens after passing a ban on photos of the store’s window displays. The ban, however, was not enforced for foreign shoppers or Chinese nationals. [WSJ]

- The Vatican continues sweet-talking the gays with Pope Benedict claiming gay marriage basically signals the downfall of humanity. Joke’s on him, that happened after season one of the Jersey Shore. [Towleroad]

- It may be time for Barbie to start picking better friends. Doll versions of Kim, Khloe and Kourtney Kardashian – called Dash dolls after their miniature Kardashian-inspired clothing — will befriend Mattel’s golden girl this year. In addition to wearing the trashy leopard print jumpsuits synonymous with the family’s Dash Boutiques, the dolls will “reflect the girls’ measurements.” Meaning the Khloe doll will be played by Ken. Defining Fashion Moment: Whenever Mr. Sheffield had any sort of high-brow event at the manse, Fran would finagle her way into the party with a show-stopping entrance atop the staircase, which she would then descend dramatically like the drag queen she is. However, any serious discussion of Fran’s style would be incomplete without mention of  her equally fabulous mother Sylvia Fine and gold-lamé-loving grandmother Yetta. The apple doesn’t fall far from the heavily-sequined tree.

Grazia Dailly reports that in an interview with Gabbana in The Times, fashion editor Laura Craik brought up Madonna’s new lifestyle brand — and it did not go over well:

Asked about Madonna (the day before we meet, WWD announces that she is to launch a new clothing collection), Gabbana becomes unusually un-chatty. What does he think of the news?

“Good.”

She’ll be ringing you up for a bit of advice soon.

“No”

Oh, OK then. Why not?

“No, she knows many things. She has a style. There are a lot of pop stars making fashion collections – Kylie and J.Lo, Puff Daddy and Kanye West.” He pauses for a beat. “Maybe next season, we should sing a song.”

What could have caused this apparent rift? After all, it’s not like Madonna’s line is going to be in direct competition with Dolce and Gabbana. And even if it was, I think we all know who’d win. No, there’s something else happening here…mayhaps it’s time for the Hardy Gays to investigate.

Jonas Akerlund directs the mini-movie chronicling a day in the life of a rag-tag rock and roll band who just happen to have legs up to their necks and cheekbones from which the world hangs. Naomi, of course, plays lead singer Simon Le Bon but I must say Eva Herzigova steals the show as a cavalier and spaced out Nick Rhodes.

Meanwhile, Helena Christensen as Roger Taylor gets wheeled about on a hotel dolly, clearly half in the bag and loving every minute of it and Cindy shows she can still work overtime as John Taylor, hanging out the window of her limo as it speeds down the streets of London.

With Yasmin rounding out the group as an unnamed guitarist, the ladies wreak general havoc on a hotel room, snog groupies, pose for their Harper’s Bazaar UK cover and film amusic video, all while looking hopelessly galmorous.

Having mastered the art of social media — they’re #1 on Facebook with nearly 9 million “Likes” and #2 on Twitter — Burberry continues to find innovative ways to engage consumers such as a live-streaming Tweetwalk, where looks from London Fashion Week were Tweeted before they hit the runway. They also scored well in e-commerce and mobile commerce thanks to its global site relaunch, landing the over 150-year-old British label the top spot on the L2 index and the official label of “Genius.”

Kate Spade was a newcomer to the index but their blend of smart e-commerce and a strong mobile and social presence skyrocketed the brand to the #2 spot. Storied houses Chanel and Christian Dior, on the other hand, seem to be resting on their luxury laurels earning only “Average” L2 IQs.

Prada and Hermès started running with the bad girls in school, smoking in the bathroom and dating college boys instead of working on their social media and as a result their IQs plummeted from “Gifted” in 2009 to “Challenged” in 2011. And to make matters worse, Prada was cited as the “biggest digital disappointment in luxury.” Yikes, wait til your father hears about this….

But in their defense, Europe might just have a harder learning curve. Ten of the top fifteen brands in the L2 index were American and on average American brands have a higher digital IQ than their Euro counterparts. Finally, somewhere the U.S. excels in something besides obesity and sluttiness.

The Fever comes to town , everything shuts down. Other topics Ford explores in his interview include his return to fashion and the why of it: ”Because I’m not Doing The Fashion System. I don’t do shows. I don’t have reviews. Speaking of Gucci, Ford compares his time at the Italian luxury house to the work he does now: “At Gucci, it was all about creating The Look each season The Shoe, The Bag, The Hair. But now I have no desire to create The Look. I just want to make beautiful, glamorous clothes.” Pity he won’t wear them, though.”

But before sending a look down the intimate, exclusive runway, Ford always has his PR lady Whitney or Carine Roitfeld when she’s not pussyfooting with Karl Lagerfeld, try it on: ”If they don’t wear it, it doesn’t go into production.”

As for that infamous French Vogue he guest edited for Roitfeld, Ford explains his reasoning behind all the geriatric grinding: ”My mother doesn’t like me saying this but she’s in her late seventies and her boyfriend’s in his late sixties. The point is she’s active and looks amazing, and yet we’ve taught ourselves to think that ageing’s embarrassing. That’s why I left all the wrinkles in the story shot for French Vogue of an old couple having sex”.

And then there’s Ford’s burgeoning film career after 2009′s wonderful A Single Man. While his next film, allegedly a comedy, is “ready to go,” the life of a filmmaker has its difficulties: ”I would lose my mind if I just did films…I enjoy the speed of fashion. I love doing different things and I think I still have something valid to say in fashion.” I fully support that — I always find whatever Tom Ford says to be valid, no matter how batshit it is. Hands down my favorite spread so far in this, the September issue season, Klein, Valletta and Edward Enninful envision an eternal heroine and her struggles over the course of a century, featuring looks by Chanel, John Galliano, Miu Miu, Dolce & Gabbana, Prada, Gucci, Salvatore Ferragamo, Tom Ford, Givenchy and Alexander McQueen.

“September 29, 1929: A month before the stock market’s Black Tuesday, our heroine’s opium-tinged 29th-birthday party in the Blue Room rolls on.”

Also, show of hands, who knew Dolce & Gabbana had a Gym collection?

We silently (and fashionably) squealed in our seats when a signature shiny black and gold Dolce & Gabbana bag floated its way into the FashionIndie loft. We knew we were expecting the brand’s new Secret Eyes mascara, but we were not should have been expecting its over the top, ultra exquisite packaging: a black cylinder glass vase of eight indigo calla lilies (full of water at that) wrapped in black tulle and a grosgrain ribbon was packed next to a gold Dolce & Gabbana engraved black lacquered box.  The box was sealed by magnets and opened to reveal a velvet cushion lined package, on par with those made for fine jewelry or expensive pens.  Nested inside, a gleaming gold tube of Secret Eyes mascara.

Then he kicked Miuccia Prada in the ladyparts by blasting her house’s recent IPO (initial public offering) stating that he didn’t need to go public since his company is a strong black woman –  independent and debt-free — while his clothes make men more handsome and elegant.

Enter noted old-man-beater and Tod’s chairman, Diego Della Valle. Valle, referring to Armani as a “sprightly old man,” said the designer’s attack didn’t “make any sense” and instead of playa-hatin’ he should just get in the game and go public himself:

“Rather than criticizing Prada’s strategies, Armani should do the same thing, invest in the territory, as I did in Rome, contributing to the restoration of the Colosseum. In a moment of crisis, it’s important to be part of a team, and it’s our duty to give a signal, not waste time in useless attacks.”

Round 3: Armani takes it to the streets. Armani wrote a letter to Corriere della Sera, Italy’s top newspaper, explaining that he would never compromise his creativity and his freedom by going public:

“I don’t need alliances, complicity, or need to surround myself with international jetsetters. I have too much respect for myself, for the public, and for the people that work both with me and the fashion industry to renounce any sort of intellectual honesty that influences and orients my life, even at the expense of attractive economic opportunities….I don’t need any of the money from the stock exchange — not for growth, not for globalization, not to aggregate my brand.”

The gauntlet has been thrown, or rather, limply tossed out since Giorgio Armani is literally 1000 years old. On the one hand, it’s understandable where he’s coming from. Once you have someone else to answer to besides yourself, there’s a definite loss of freedom. But on the other hand, Armani’s reaction seems more like a defense against the idea of change.

He’s been doing this fashion shtick for 900 years (he got started later in life); he’s used to dressing men a certain way, used to running his business a certain way but fashion never gets used to anything. Prada, which initially resisted an IPO, went public as a strategic business move that will allow for further expansion of the brand worldwide. Whether this will dilute or drastically alter the aesthetic vision, however, is something we’ll just have to wait to see. [WWD]

The nude you need: Mandorla.

Mandorla, the Italian word for almond, gives just that shade. It applies lighter on the lips than it does in the tube, and blends with a fair to medium skin tone. Unlike the other beige lip colors in the collection, Mandorla has no shimmer, and that makes all the difference.

It has a familiar scent to it, you know the one that your mom and grandma’s makeup had. It smells like a old time vanity, and with purpose. They added fragrance for the sake of nostalgia.

With the rest of our faces are painted in Italian Summertime, we took a liking to these products:

Sole is the color of this Tuscan sun orange/red blush. Use a tiny amount from the apple to high cheekbone for a sultry glow.

Agave (16) on the bottom eye line, Bronzo (15) on the top lid for subtle definition.

Vulcano is what you get when you combine such deeply heated colors. The colors go on strong and solid.

Dahlia has the mascara leaning on the mauve side of black. It brings the eye in for a closer investigation.

The fragrance itself, described as “the ultimate connoisseur’s scent”, was a concoction of pepper, grapefruit, lavender, vanilla, and patchouli (aka light, cool, and a little intimidating).  Former NY Times Scent Editor Chandler Burr walked us through each individual scent in a fun and compelling sniff class that broke it all down.

Who is this man exactly?  GQ Style Correspondent Brett Fahlgren told us that the character behind the scent was “a contemporary charmer, with a spirit of masculinity– a man who is courteous, refined, and cultivated” while the designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana remarked “he is worldly, successful, impeccable, but also boasts something else such as an innate elegance that distinguishes him from the rest”.

More exciting news at the event was the launch of Dolce & Gabbana’s new iPhone app, “Rules for the Modern Gentlman” which was written by Dylan Jones, editor of GQ UK.  The app was designed to cover tips on etiquette (like asking a girl on a date properly), style & grooming (like how to match your patterns), and quick solutions for gentlemanly predicaments (sort of like the how to eat a pork loin off a rib without disturbing the passed appetizers peace).  Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana told us, “The application is a perfect reflection of the scenarios that the Dolce&Gabbana man may find himself encountering; as a modern gentleman he can approach each situation with a sense of poise and confidence that distinguishes him from the rest.”

When looking for the campaign’s face, naturally, the brand turned to Hollywood ladies man: Matthew McConaughey.  The campaign video showed off McConaughey, the one gentleman himself, the morning after an epic celebration (very a la How To Lose A Guy In Ten Days). Still tuxedo clad, he strolls through the party ballroom doing exactly what we would all do after a grand night at a ball, staring into a beach sunset.  How dapper. We recommend the scent for the young and elegant set, the gentlemen of our generation.

The Painted Shorts: A. Turen, $168

The look began with the jean shorts, hand painted by Ashley Turen. Tattered to exposed-pocket summertime delight, these completely original mid-waisted metallic daisy dukes spoke to me.

The Nude Leather Tank: Maggie Ward, $282

I chose this top for its stability and flounce; the cropped A-line is perfect with a short and tight high waist. Plus, the leather is like cream. Maggie Ward was founded by Three Dots co-founder John Ward with the vision to make comfortable clothing that doesn’t appear comfortable. Tricky, tricky, and totally working.

The Softest Cropped Cardi: KristenseN du Nord, $239

This piece immediately warranted a home in the Boutique Critique. The combination of fabrics so delicate on a shape that embraces the moment makes for a must-have. Since the brand’s inception in 1996, they have worked exclusively with carefully selected Italian craftsmen and the finest materials. They use a method they call “wash-wash” to ensure zero shrinkage.

The Turban-Tied Scarf: Juma, $176

Amidst the wall of brilliantly patterned scarves, this one jumped out in its regality. With the image of a peacock surrounded by its painterly feathers, it just begged to be wrapped around my head until it became a fabric beehive. Brother and sister duo Alia and Jamil Juma forged these scarves and the rest of their collections from the influence of travel and art.

The Memories Necklace: Venessa Arizaga, $325

Off this chain hangs little bits of reminders of the trinkets you’ve encountered throughout your life and childhood. Each piece of jewelry is different; these pieces are gathered by Vanessa Arizaga through her copious travels. Before she took the dive into her own jewelry business, she was deep in the design world working under Tuleh, Carolina Herrera and Zac Posen. This is jewelry with a sense of humor and a background of elegance.

The Sneaks: Ash, $130

Properly faded and bleached, this pair makes one chill summer sneaker. The design pair Leonello Calvani and Patrick Ithier share a history in French luxury and create fine shoes that hit abreast of the trend – they strive to cater to those who seek out fashion in the most thrilling cities in the world.

The Chain Mail Pouch: Laura B Collection Particulière, $760

Made of metal mesh that moves like water, this pouch slouches so elegantly at the side. It has an alternative handle to carry on the wrist as well. Versatile and a little bit see through, I’m rather in love. This bag came to Laura Bortolami in a dream, whilst sleeping in Morocco; a glimmer on mesh. And so she did. Before she did any of this, she worked in her native city of Rome for Armani, Gianni Versace, Dolce & Gabbana and more until she dedicated herself fully to her jewelry venture in 1999.

Short but sweet -- if "sweet" means kind of douchebaggy  -- Hirsch also offered James Middleton (whose own scandalous pictures also leaked recently) $1 mil if she "would like to bring [him] along.” But hey, Hirsch is a class-act! - Whitney Houston has apparently fallen off the wagon yet again — and knowing Whit she probably hit a few other wagons on the way down. The legendary singer has entered rehab for a third time for drug and alcohol treatment. My heart is breaking so, clearly I need to ask you, Whitney, where do broken hearts go? [People]

- Stefano Gabbana apparently leaked Penelope Cruz‘s Vogue cover on his Tumblr after receiving an advanced copy with the Oscar winner in a Dolce & Gabbana dress. Then Anna Wintour swooped down from on high, shut down the internet and removed said leaked cover from said Tumblr. Gabbana was later found quivering in the fetal position, clutching a piece of lace under the soothing spritz of his shower. [Styleite]

- Looks like someone’s been bitten by the diva bug. Pint-sized popper Justin Beiber was a brat while on the set of CSI filming his multi-episode stint, according to co-star Marg Helgenberger. Speaking on a French radio show, Helgenberger remarked: ”I probably shouldn’t say this, but he was kind of a brat….He locked one of the producers in a closet…and he put his fist through a cake that was on the craft services table.” Bieber, never one to sit back while his good name is dragged through the mud of network television responded like only an adult could — via Twitter: “It’s kinda lame when someone you met briefly and never worked with comments on you. After years of subpar rom-coms and so-so albums, La Lopez has struck gold, not only as an American Idol judge (does anyone still watch that crap?) but as a spokesperson for anything that will have her. It was like you were the walking embodiment of fierce. What inspires your style?

@marian_kihogo: thank you so much. Over the winter it was all about the faux fur and fuchsia lip. Something so rock’n'roll glam about it

my style has always been directed by the emotive plus a love of the 70′s,sharp tailoring & a need to express a present moment

I’m inspired by everything and nothing; a film, a moment, a woman on the street, a song, a place, inspiration is all around

@marian_kihogo: I think it is because the UK has always been known for experimentation, that certain spirit of fearless willingness to create

the fashion scene here is such a mix. The slick established luxury – eg Burberry to the clever wit – Giles etc

we are fashion’s ‘enfant terrible’ but it has birthed incredible talent

@fashionindie: I agree. In NY it feels like you can always wear anything or try anything, but there’s no sense of rebellion. Are u a rebel?

@marian_kihogo: Im most defo a rebel in a sense.I’ve always lived by the ideal that the mass market is myself.what I want to wear for me goes

but I think that rebel is in every creative,a need to create a new path, to dress to pls self. No real creative can be a clone

@fashionindie: Rebel w/ a cause. Do u have any labels you absolutely can’t live w/o? Or are u more of an eclectic anything goes kind of gal?

@marian_kihogo: wow I’m more of a ‘does it move marian?’ kind of girl

so if it moves me it is a done deal. All I ever bought fashion wise challenged me mentally/emotionally.style is emotive

so designers like. Ana Šekularac, Jean Pierre Braganza, McQueen, Balenciaga, Halston, Prada (maria francesca pepe)@MFPepe

have become faves over time because I resonate with their vision, aesthetic and journey as creatives

@marian_kihogo: there will never be another McQueen; the fearlessness, the vision, the technical ability, the ability to weave a story

@fashionindie: So true. Though I love what Sarah Burton‘s been doing with the house. Are you interested at all in the #RoyalWedding ?

@marian_kihogo: ha I knew a question about the #RoyalWedding was coming! I’m actually interested in the gown. hoping for contemporary

@fashionindie: It’s all I hear about! Americans haven’t been this Anglophilic since the Spice Girls. I think we all love a giant spectacle.

@marian_kihogo: well hold your prada clutches and Dolce corset dresses as something tells me it is going to be huge

@fashionindie: But as a Brit, does it mean anything to you besides the gown? #stillhoping4McQ Is there a patriotic pride attached?

@marian_kihogo: there is patriotic pride attached as I think the Royal family is a beautiful thing. So for me, a new princess is exciting

there is a feeling of being all part of an extended bridal party as it were. Like one big party celebrating with them

@fashionindie: It seems to really bring the country together.

@fashionindie: I know here, our 1st Lady has a tremendous influence on fashion. Will it be the same for Kate?

@marian_kihogo: I think Kate will have an influence on fashion. Whether she will have as much effect as Princess Diana remains to be seen

I know a few people who are already tipping her as icon, there are those who went out and bought the Issa engagement dress

@fashionindie:  That dress was cute and all but Di’s a huge legacy 2 live up 2. So tell me about your blog? How’d you get started?

@marian_kihogo: my blog was actually the internet version of a scrapbook I’d compiled over yrs. It had fabric scraps,images, quotes etc

if I found something thought provoking/inspiring, it went into that tattered book. When I moved and lost it, the blog was born

@fashionindie: That’s brilliant! And you’ll never lose it, unless the internet disappears. #knockonwood And how did you get into styling?

@marian_kihogo: I started styling at 14,my friends mother looked a mess for dinner. I cut up her designer dress. She became my 1st client.

@marian_kihogo: oh honesty(with tact no doubt!:) is an important policy and most people value and respect it.

@fashionindie:  What’s a typical styling gig?

@marian_kihogo: there is no typical styling gig! That’s why I love it.

@fashionindie: When dressing a client, do you buy what you think THEY would like or what YOU would want to see them in?

@marian_kihogo: that’s a great question. It is always about what they like, what image they want to have the public see.

with clients we work to suit an image they want to create-develop-maintain.I offer tips/ideas but they must be happy

so it is a very symbiotic relationship. They provide the desired dream image and style icons, I bring the fuel with ideas

@fashionindie: Okay, for my final question. Music and fashion always go hand in hand for me. What are you listening to these days?

@marian_kihogo: love your last question! Rihanna‘s Loud album is fantastic, Notorious Big(brilliant), Nina Simone, Joni Mitchell, Jimi Hendrix

- Well, I think we can all agree that despite the thousands of dead, missing and misplaced people, the threat of nuclear Armageddon and the collapse of Japan’s economy, the biggest tragedy to come out of the Land of the Rising Sun is the cancellation of Japan Fashion Week. - ESPN Magazine is stepping up its style game with the hire of their first fashion editor, Samantha Rubin. The reason behind the move: apparently readers want to know what their favorite athletes are wearing and how to wear it. Now we can all learn where to get and how to wear size 15 Air Jordans and XXXXL pinstripe suits. [WWD]

- Lady Gaga has not only raised the bar for shutting shit down, she’s also raised a ton of money for Japan…to the tune of $250 K through sales of her “We Pray for Japan” wristband. Put your paws up…now wrap them in this wristband. [Oh No They Didn't!]

Wait, you mean the brand that was the most frequently used on the cover of Vogue in 2010? Not that we’re complaining much, but it’s a little predictable, and not quite… French.

And guess who’s photographing? Inez van Lamsweerde et Vinoodh Matadin. Again, not complaining, but they too were the most frequently used photographers for Vogue covers in 2010.

Emmanuelle, please take these reigns you’ve earned, and steer. We love what’s been done, but please introduce us to something new.

If the case does proceed, Dolce and Gabbana’s lawyers may favor negotiation (to allow the designers’ criminal record to remain clear) and settlement rather a pesky, pricey trial.”

Um, way to stay classy D&G.

The pair has been indicted and may have to appear in court.

Worse still, they might have to pay $1 million.

Wait. No. My bad. $1 BILLION dollars!!

Apparently the designer duo didn’t pay taxes with their sale of Dolce & Gabbana and D&G to Gado Srl.

That could cut deep into the pockets of Dolce and Gabbana.

Sorry boys, no more gelato pancakes in your Italian villa. It’s Eggo Waffles now.

Contudo, tenho que mencionar que coloquei plus-sized entre aspas no parágrafo anterior porque – covenhamos – de tamanho “extra” muitas dessas peças não terão absolutamente nada. A falta de um sistema internacional – e até mesmo sistemas nacionais – de medidas para as peças de roupa criam uma verdadeira *salada* na cabeça dos compradores. Nos Estados Unidos, por exemplo, a discrepância parece ser cada vez maior: enquanto as cadeias de roupas de massa fazem peças com medidas cada vez maiores (eu, que antes vestia 6/8 agora visto 4 na GAP!), os grandes nomes internacionais fazem roupas cada vez menores. Por isso mesmo um tamanho 14 dessas marcas – considerado plus-sized na Saks – talvez seja equivalente a um 10, até mesmo 8 em outras lojas.

 
E isso não se restringe somente aos Estados Unidos. Aqui na Europa eu tenho que saber não só o tamanho em cada país (o sistema da Espanha difere da Itália, que difere da Alemanha e dos países escandinavos, que difere da Inglaterra) como tambem o das lojas. A Topshop é diferente da H&M, que é diferente da Zara, que por sua vez é diferente da Urban Outfitters. Ou seja: loucura completa e absoluta. E eu tenho consciência que eu sei as diferenças porque gosto e me envolvo com a moda. Para quem não é muito fã deve ser uma tortura infinitamente maior.

Além desse “pequeno” problema, outro fator importante que a Saks aparenta tentar resolver com sua nova empreitada é o da falta de discrepância entre a realidade e o idealizado. Designers podem adorar modelos magras e fazer peças para os desfiles que cabem num graveto, mas a verdade absoluta é que a imensa maioria de suas compradoras se espreme desesperadamente pra entrar num tamanho 38 ou 40. Compradoras estas com dinheiro de sobra para gastar, que entendem de moda e sabem muito bem onde e com quem gastar seu dinheiro e, mais importante, que QUEREM gastar seu dinheiro. A realidade é que o mundo ocidental engorda cada vez mais e os designers, se querem sobreviver (leia-se ter salário e continuar com seus empregos), tem que se adaptar a essa realidade – mesmo que o sonho deles seja vestir gravetinhos.

Faço um parêntesis para dizer que tenho amigas de todos os tamanhos. Sei que existem pessoas que são naturalmente magras – naturalmente MUITO magras, devo adicionar – e sei que existem pessoas que, por mais que tentem, nunca conseguirão ser um tamanho 38. Mesmo com muito exercício, muita boca fechada, lipoaspiração e/ou qualquer outra coisa. Porque seres humanos vem em tamanhos, cores e “modelos” diferentes. A única coisa que falta mesmo é a gente aceitar esse fato.

Não recomendo – e muito menos faço apologia! – à extrema magreza nem à obesidade. Ambos são doença e devem ser levados muito a sério. Dá pra ver pela história dos últimos 100 anos – período em que as pessoas pararam de passar fome e de ter dietas completamente malucas – que, na média, somos criaturas que tem um tamanho “médio”. Tipo um 40/42, sabe? Alguns mais, outros menos, claro… mas que esse tamanho é o nosso ideal para sobreviver. Crescer, trabalhar, produzir, reproduzir e perpetuar a espécie. Ambos os extremos de peso não auxiliam nessa evolução natural das coisas e por isso mesmo, não podem ser considerados “naturais”. Nem por nós mesmos e nem por ninguém.

Por isso é bom saber que a Saks resolveu vender roupas de tamanho mais “normal” para pessoas normais. Os tamanhos irão até o 14 norte-americano (equivalente – na teoria – ao nosso 46) e alguns irão até o tamanho 20. Esses últimos obviamente já visando o mercado das gordinhas. Porque se uma anoréxica pode se vestir de Chanel – com a profusão de tamanhos zero e até zero-zero por aí – porque uma obesa não pode? Nada mais justo. Só espero que essa mudança seja definitiva e a Saks coloque esses produtos na sua lista permanente de vendas. A perpetuação dos seres humanos agradece e a auto-estima de milhões de mulheres também.

P.S.: Para as interessadas, as marcas que a Saks passará a vender nos tamanhos maiores são Chanel, Fendi, Roberto Cavalli, Yves Saint Laurent, Dolce & Gabbana e Alexander McQueen. Eles se juntarão a uma lista de designers que já oferecem roupas com tamanhos maiores, como Donna Karan, Carolina Herrera, Armani e Oscar de la Renta.
