W is starting a new ad campaign today, re-branding itself as “Fashion’s After Party.”

Editor-in-Chief Stefano Tonchi explains the reasoning behind the campaign:

“Other publications have these parties that are sometimes very formal, sometimes very brief, sometimes very boring, sometimes very glamorous, but somehow it is always a place where you don’t necessarily have a lot of fun. And we were talking about how you have fun after the party.”

The ads feature photos that have appeared in W and will be seen on taxi rooftops and phone kiosks as well as in Condé Nast magazines and on their Web sites. In addition, W will get the after party started a little early by sending out bottles of Dom Perignon to celebrities, designers and a few restaurants and nightclubs around the city and the Hamptons.

If this is really the after party, I hope those bottles also come with an eightball of cocaine and a dead hooker. Because if Charlie Sheen taught me anything, the after party’s when shit gets real.
Dom Pérignon is releasing A Tribute to Andy Warhol by Dom Pérignon. Warhol, a known fan of the champagne, once bought, along with 20 other friends, 2,000 bottles to be stored and enjoyed on the millennium after his death no one knows where they are but I have a birthday coming up and would like to know!

Inspired by Warhol’s unconventional representation of icons, and the playful use of codes and color in his work, Dom Pérignon commissioned the Design Laboratory at Central Saint Martin’s School of Art & Design to reinterpret its timeless bottle. The result is a unique collection of three bottles, each with its distinct label in red, blue or yellow, paying homage to Warhol’s iconic color games.

These limited addition bottles will be available to the public starting October 15th at a suggested retail price of $150 (same price as “regular” DP) and can be found at fine wine purveyors nationwide.

Walking into the Chelsea Museum alongside Brooklyn Decker, (also see Anna, Tonne, Nicole Richie) and being handed a glass of Dom Perignon was the only way (literally) to view Georgina Chapman’s fall 2010 showcase. The room had a cool vibe of fashion lovers, industry greats, socialites, and celebrities all mingling in the midst of artistry on live models. The amount of detail and handwork on each dress blew me away – each paired with an equally stunning pair of Loubs! The ironic reality of showing a line like this in a museum, is the true appreciation of the art that is Fashion Design. Hats off to the stunningly charming Georgina for bringing her genius to life!

This bowl, crafted for Dom Pérignon Champagne, was inspired by the breast of german supermodel Claudia Schiffer. Apparently, this bowl was inspired by a similar, true to size “boob bowl” created for Queen Marie Antoinette in 1787. The boob sits atop Dom champagne bottles and have Schiffer’s signature on them. I dare you to find one guy who wouldn’t want his buddies munching on Doritos from this bowl come Super Bowl Sunday. All you have to do is muster up $3,150, and this porcelain bosom is all yours.
