Victoria’s Secret’s High-End Designer Line Launched Yesterday, Almost Already Sold Out

I know, when you think high-end you immediately think the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. Nothing says refinement like some plastic wings on a model wearing nothing but a bra and panties. VS decided to capitalize on this cache of class by introducing its first high-end lingerie line, the Victoria’s Secret Designer Collection, which only launched yesterday but has already nearly sold out.

The collection was produced in-house and features bras, panties, garter belts, baby dolls, teddies, a kimono and a merry widow corset, retailing from $98 to $298. Some were seen on the runway during the VS Fashion Show back in November, sprinkled in among the regular underthings. It’s understandable if you didn’t notice, though, what with Miranda Kerr‘s $2.5 million assets stealing the spotlight. [WWD]

While the Victoria’s Secret Angels go through often severe measures to keep their heavenly bodies runway-ready, sometimes a girl just gets tired of trying. Hailing from the Midwest of Doom, these Bizarro Angels, finding that their wings could no longer support their girth, hung them up for good and started eating their feelings. 1000 pounds and several Sex and the City marathons later, here they are — big and beautiful as ever.

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley's Burberry body has gone to the trenches.

She may have easily shed that baby weight, but Miranda Kerr couldn't shed her insatiable cravings for White Castle.

We love LOVE Magazine for many, many reasons, and we think their very special Advent Calendar is just about the greatest way to end the year. Rather than reaching in little cardboard doors for candy or useless trinkets every day, LOVE is giving us a different fashion face celebrating the holiday in his or her own way. So far, Lindsey Wixson croons Jingle Bells and Doutzen Kroes sings and dances to Mariah Carey‘s All I Want for Christmas Is You (NOT the Justin Bieber duet version) in a bra and hot pants. We can’t wait to open all the doors this December.

Watch The Victoria’s Secret Angels Lip Sync To Moves Like Jagger

Apparently the fashion world is OBSESSED with watching models lip sync and dance around to top 40 hits. Victoria’s Secret is no different and dressed up some of their top angels in their best menswear garbs and had them strut around to Maroon 5′s Move Like Jagger.

Models On The Cover Of American Elle?! Color Us Shocked

As you may or may not know, we’re very critical about American magazines and their obsession with celebrities on there covers. (Exhibit A) The October cover makes up for the lack of models on American publications by featuring 4 of the top ~~working~~ werqing girls.

Apparently it’s the first time in 8 years (really?!) that models and not celebrities were featured on the mag’s cover. We’re definitely happy with the model choices as well. Miranda Kerr, Chanel Iman, Doutzen Kroes, and Adriana Lima are some of the sickest girls in the game. If they through Karlie Kloss a cover we’d literally run into Hearst ans scream in everyone’s face.

Good job Elle. We’re pretty sure of bff Joe Zee was definitely behind this.

- Her Gagness, Lady Gaga covers the May issue of Harper’s Bazaar and explains that her face prosthetics, or “bones” — which, for the record, have “always been inside” of her — are a form of artistic expression, not an open invitation to modify your body: ”I have never had plastic surgery, and there are many pop singers who have. I think that promoting insecurity in the form of plastic surgery is infinitely more harmful than an artistic expression related to body modification.” Wait a second…pop stars have plastic surgery? - Supermodel Doutzen Kroes is trading in her stilettoes for some Moon boots. Another feature in the Models Issue of Vogue May 2009 is “Meet the Boyfriends.”

Pretty straightforward — Patrick Demarchelier photographed six top models with their boyfriends: Doutzen Kroes, Chanel Iman, Arlenis Sosa, Julia Stegner, Caroline Trentini, and Anna Jagodzinska.

Cutest part: Caroline is dating the photographer’s son! And even though she’s clearly posing, this shot is my favorite because it seems the most authentic and least modelly.
