E.G Love Spoons in Leather
Edited by Jessica Lapidos
Emma Griffiths is one serious mother cutter, laser cutting leather into breastplates, bodysuits and dresses for E.G spring 2012. She harkens the Welsh tradition of Love Spooning, a time when a man would carve a spoon for his beloved into a never ending pattern. The motif is unique to the woman, and the one used for this collection symbolizes the strength of love. Her work under Alexander McQueen and Zowie Brooch of Boudicca has led to her intricate craftsmanship and knack for dressing sexual women powerfully. Now watch the SS12 collection here.
