It’s quite a rough day for the gents to get through – all the mushy gush that Cupid brings is enough to make them put an arrow through their eyes. So when you’re on that V-Day date, show a little skin, heel a little high, and line your curves with sexiness. Like these five outfits.

1. Shimmy shimmer in hot sequined fuchsia, like this glimmering racerback by Ashish. Go all the way bright with these pink Miu Miu strappies.

2. Douse yourself in red and floral, as Saint Valentine envisioned it, in this little number from Urban Outfitters. Then kill it with the Lady Peep Sling dual-toned Louboutins. Even a man loves a red sole.

Elizabeth Olsen: Without James, Mary Kate or Ashley

Elizabeth Olsen will no longer be a name we only associate with Elizabeth and James, the label Mary Kate and Ashley named for their less talked about siblings. She’s emerging from the shadow of her world dominating older sisters by starring in two films to be premiered at Sundance Film Festival.

She’s twice playing haunted young women. Once in Sean Durkin’s Martha Marcy May Marlene as a cult escapee, and another in Chris Kentis and Laura Lau’s Silent House, a young woman plagued by nightmares.

Not one to slink into acting under the guise of her last name alone, she’s graduated from NYU Tisch School of the Arts and the Atlantic Theater Company Acting School in New York. She’s also recently been compared to a young Maggie Gyllenhaal. Looks like little Olsen may have a solid acting career on her hands.

But speaking of her hands, how about this ahhhmazing Elizabeth and James cocktail ring?

Who Will Be Rocking A Pair of Mary-Kate and Ashley Sunglasses?

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen can be best described as the Kardashian’s of the 90′s taking over just about everything.. but less on the dramatic side… from movies, to tv shows, and now taking over more than one clothing collection, Elizabeth and James has launched their own sunglass line.

According to WWD, creative director Jo Black’s team of 14 designers crafted two looks, Hudson and Fairfax, both made of acetate, high-nickel and stainless steel, with oversize black frames. Hudson is intended to be a variation of the classic aviator shape, and Fairfax is inspired by a cat-eye silhouette.

The sunglasses collection is slated to release this November priced from $155 to $265, there will also be a limited edition version of the Fairfax (pictured above) with 24 karat-gold-coated lenses, will retail for $425 at select doors. The collection will be available at stores including Neiman Marcus, Bergdorf Goodman and Harvey Nichols. Word around the street is that their Spring 2011 collection will be topping this one!

What can we expect from one of the youngest pair of successful people in this world… all I know it I’m definitely snagging a couple pairs!

Not to sound stalkerish or anything but talk around town is that little MKO and Ashley Olsen took a soul cycle class in Tribeca… the 5PM one on Saturday to be exact… don’t judge me. So as most of you sweat away “working out” these bright young things in cashmere sweats sat looking pretty.

“Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen seemed unaffected by the vigorous workout in their long-sleeved cashmere sweaters and long pants (although if it’s any consolation, an onlooker said they sat down on their bike much more than they expected).”

I mean who could blame them? They’re basically royalty they just have to show up to get the job done… Plus, I don’t really want them loosing anymore weight, do they really need any negativity in their lives, I think not!

Wasn’t it just last week that I was predicting trouser pants for fall? Well now Fab Unfunded, Nylon, and Victoria Beckham agree, trouser pants are in.

Get the look that Nylon calls “mom jeans” with pleats and high waists, which is flattering on almost every figure. This style of jeans or pants are going to be, and already are, showing up in stores everywhere, but get yours first before everyone else! (The Elizabeth and James ones I featured last week are still my favorite, very Audrey Hepburn)

1. Elizabeth and James trouser pants- MKA actually know what they’re doing. I see more trouser pants for women in the near future…aka fall.

3. Kate Moss for Topshop beaded flapper dress- Fun for a night out, or dressed down for any day.

4. Whitney Eve zipper motorcycle jacket- This is a 100% wool jacket, so it might be a bit much for summer, but come fall, it will be a good break from the leather motorcycles that everyone owns.

5. 6126 Leggings with lace inset- LL’s actually doing something not completely reckless! These are pretty cool, great if you’re sick of plain black or the leather look.

Elizabeth & James Line Doing Very Well

The Olsen twins’ line, Elizabeth & James, is doing quite well, from a celebrity following to big name retailers.

The Olsens have attracted big name celebs such as Heidi Klum, Beyonce and Rihanna, all spotted wearing button-ups from the line.

Both Neiman Marcus, Bloomingdale’s and Kitson in Los Angeles have reported phenomenal sales for the twins’ rags, with the senior VP fashion director at Neiman Marcus calling the line a “bright spot” in dismal season for sales!

Ashley and Mary-Kate are now in talks with footwear giant Steve Madden to design a shoe line as well as a menswear line planned for the fall.

Elizabeth and James’ lowest priced item is a one-shoulder cotton tank for $95, with a leather jacket going for $775 and dresses ranging from $225-$475!!!

Unflattering outfit and unsubstantiated rumors aside, I am starving for more information to back up these claims. So, no word on whether it’d be a boutique for The Row, Elizabeth and James, or something else.

Laugh at me if you must, but I am loving the new Elizabeth and James collection by Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen. Really, I did not expect such couture looks from two girls best known for their pre-teen spy movies, but what can I say, I am quite impressed. So what is the collection like? Well, believe the description on the Elizabeth and James website, because I couldn’t have described it better myself:

Inspired by the mix of uptown and downtown, masculine and feminine, and casual and dressy, the Elizabeth and James collection is unique in the mixture of androgynous menswear inspired blazers and shirts with delicate mini-dresses, feminine detailing, sequins and unusual fabrics.

But don’t be fooled, just because this is a star collaboration collection doesn’t mean it’s cheap. Be prepared to fork over $270 for the Eliza vest or $765 for the Plume skirt. But hey, if you’ve got the cash to dish, Elizabeth and James can be purchased on Shopbop.com! Knock yourself out…I know I would!

Rumor has it the star has downgraded her sister, Mary-Kate, concerning her participation in the launch of the menswear collection for their line, The Row. Ashley wants to be seen in a professional light and feels that Mary-Kate’s “antics” are tearing apart any possibility of that happening. Instead, Ashley wants Mary-Kate to focus on the cheaper Elizabeth and James line. How adorable? At least Ashley didn’t totally kick her kin off the cliff!

The demise of the wobbly two-some has been predicted for some time now, because after all everybody loves a good breakup even-if it is among family. The dividing line seems to say that Ashley will design Rick Owen’s rip-off The Row, while Mary Kate will work on the funkier Elizabeth and James. Ashley has reportedly banned Mary Kate from The Row designing duites till she gets her personal life in order. Really? If every designer need to have their personal life in order before they worked, we would never get a collection from Marc Jacobs…..
