The 2012 SAG Awards took place last night, and our applause goes out to all the big winners. As always, we were super excited to see what everyone was wearing on the red carpet from the couture dresses to the 6-inch high stiletto platforms. See what all the Screen Actors Guild talent wore to the awards in our gallery after the jump.

Celebrity Sundance Style: Big Sweaters & Boots With the Fur

Sundance Film Festival has been going in full force for five days now, which means there is plenty of celebrity style on which to comment. While biker boots, chunky sweaters and fur-trimmed everything were seen abundantly on the streets, there was still plenty of sparkle on the red carpet. Classic old lady perfume Yves Saint Laurent Opium is experiencing a serious comeback, and Emily Blunt‘s face is making it happen. When YSL debuted the fragrance in 1977, the message was clear – Opium is an addictive perfume. More than three decades later, the scent is still viewed as guiltless provocation for some, “intellectual pollution” and an incitement to lechery for others. Red Carpet Report Card: Emily Blunt in Zac Posen

It was a weekend of dirty snow and negative degree wind chills here in in NYC, but celebrities were out and about as usual in L.A. Emily Blunt attended the premiere of her new movie Gnomeo & Juliet wearing a white Zac Posen dress from the Resort 2011 collection. Was the look angelic or annoying? Emily Blunt is so beautiful, she has to try really hard to look like shit. She appeared celestial and effortless in this Zac Posen dress from the resort 2011 collection and channels a young Marilyn Monroe in peep toe shoes and an old-Hollywood up-do. How does the look match up to the runway styling?

Emily stayed true to the neutral runway styling with the nude shoes and pulled-back hair. I think she could have done a gold shoe to throw a little more glamour into the look. Because she is young, it would have been fresher with a splash of color or metallic. But this dress could potentially look very messy at the waist on the wrong person, and she wears it comfortably and flawlessly. And thank goodness she didn’t wear those awful gray gloves. The grade?

A-

The minus is for the shoes – especially at a children’s movie premiere, something a little more fun would have been stellar. Other than that, she looks stunning.
