Un coup de foudre, that’s the French phrase for “love at first sight.” It’s a rare occasion when I find something I’d lie, cheat and steal to have, but an evening stroll in Tribeca led me into a girl wearing the leather studded booties pictured above. I contemplated kicking her knees and swiping the boots off her feet, but I decided a compliment  would be the less delinquent route. Introducing shoe designer Els Proost, her company, Elsa Shoes, easily ranked at the top of my latest obsessions.

Proost has quite the resume having designed shoes and accessories for Dries Van Noten, Emporio Armani, Maison Martin Margiela, Costume National, Hussein Chalayan, Angelo Figus and more, so there’s no doubt why they’re so damn gorgeous. Craftsmanship,comfort and a “fashionable amusing twist” reign among Proost’s design goals, and it’s safe to say she achieves them with every pair she constructs. Like the woman who married a rollerc0aster, maybe i’ll join the bandwagon and marry Elsa Shoes. Now that’s what I like to call a bright future!

We all know Angelina has long been a fan of Emporio Armani, but rumor has it Armani now has a deal in the works with the actress; Angelina is expected to market the company’s new fragrance. What’s the best part? It’s possible we’ll see Ms. Jolie and David Beckham side by side.

Posh Spice is heating things up as the star of Emporio Armani Underwear’s latest campaign. The fashionista was at Macy’s flagship in New York Wednesday to present a 20-foot tall image of herself. Even in photographs, Victoria Beckham can effortlessly work a crowd. The bra and panty set is beautiful, and I like that it’s a little on the modest side. Beckham looks gorgeous. Her hair and makeup are fit for a Pharaoh’s wife. Her skin tone is slightly over-exaggerated, but overall the ad looks great. *Sigh* Husband and wife underwear models… it doesn’t get too much better than that!

This season, it’s all about the skin, glowing skin. All of the catwalk makeup looks had a clash of bold colors vs neutral nudes. I picked two makeup looks from the runway that I like. With so many great looks, from the red pout to the All-American peachy glow, let me know which makeup style works best for you.

Brown shadows are worked around the eye with curled, mascara-free lashes and cheekbones are highlighted with pinky taupe blusher. A dash of shimmer across the cupid’s bow and don’t forget the neat brows.

Seventy-year-old British magician Paul Daniels has fought back with humor at tabloids who attempted to embarrass his wife Debbie by publishing unflattering photos of them on a beach vacation. He and his wife have posed in Closer magazine in a mock parody of a recent Emporio Armani underwear ad by Britain’s most famous tabloid target, Victoria and David Beckham.

Believe me when I say that Emporio Armani’s Fall 2009 Collection covers all the bases, because he produced around 100 looks for it. There was denim, fur, leather, formal, casual, ski equipment, draping, capes, you name it he had it. The collection is massive, which had me thinking how much time he actually puts into his collection, or whether it is all just mass produced junk. There is no way he had involvement in 90% of this, and doesn’t that sort of take away from everything fashion/runway shows are all about?
