SPRING FLING: Trends To Fall In Love With This Spring #1

Well these were available at Oak two days ago but have since disappeared. As soon as I get more information I will have it posted for you!
With the changing of seasons and the tight economic times, comes a time to step back and really evaluate your look before going out and spending money on items you’ll hate in a couple weeks. So instead of doing one massive post about all the upcoming Spring trends, I figured I’d break it up and introduce to you a cool little installment called Spring Fling: Trends To Fall In Love With This Spring. I know money is tight, so I’ll do my best to provide some cheap alternatives for all you indies forced to pinch pennies this Spring.
By far my favorite look for this upcoming Spring. The hype has been building around this trend since September’s Fashion Week season, and I’m finally ready to see it flow into the masses. The drop crotch trouser is something that can be done very well with relative ease. User beware, if you don’t get the right size you may look like you’re rockin’ hammer pants and nobody wants that. The cool part about these pants is the versatility for the weather. If it’s warm, crop them up like the you see in some of these images. If it’s cold, drop crotch looks great on a full length pant as well.
Don’t have the couple hundred dollars to spend on some of the options I have listed here? No worries, I didn’t either when I got my pair. Here is an easy way to sort of DIY at a low cost. Find a pair of extremely high wasted jeans/pants from Cheap Monday ($65 always!) and just simply wear them like you would normally wear pants rather than high waisted. The stretch material that Cheap Monday uses still allows you to move freely. ***Be sure to try them on though, the waist tends to run bit smaller because they are intended for a natural waist!
So here’s a simple moto to remember while out Spring shopping this season, ” Drop the crotch not the dough!”

TrendSpark: Well In-Vested

We’ve been addicted to the vest look since it started cropping up on Justin Timberlake last year when he was bringing sexy back. Now the manish style has finally progressed from the streets of Williamsburg and Barnaby Street to the shelves of some of your favorite boutiques. William Rast (big surprise that Justin’s line , Endovanera, and Marlova have all released killer vests for the spring, so be a fucking follower and get one pronto. Nothing says ballbreaker better than dressing like a dude and sporting a woody. Get a vest and you’ll understand.

Boutique Critique : Endovanera
Endovanera’s new store got a great write up on Urban Daddy:
“Occasionally, your quest for original attire takes you to some pretty strange places.Like a secret, signless store cloaked in the dark shadow of a dingy overpass. Which is where you’ll find Front St., the just-opened shop from burgeoning label Endovanera. Pronounced “end of an era”—so subversive, these fashion people—the line began attracting attention last fall.
The next step, of course, was to set up shop in a run-down (and thus officially credible) Echo Park building—a small “1154″ above the door is the only confirmation you’re in the right spot. Inside: concrete floors, salvaged light fixtures and just a few minimalist racks of the well-cut basics a rock star might wear to a business meeting—grey vests, slim black pants, well-cut black-and-white button-downs and military-inspired coats. If you see something you like but it’s not quite right, the on-site design studio, behind the white curtain, is filled with Japanese fabrics and Italian denim for all your customization needs. The proprietors can recreate that military coat in a different color, for example, or build a pair of jeans from scratch. So you can stand apart from even those who stand apart.”
