Raised in a Catholic household, Barbie was more than willing to shed her inhibitions – and her clothes – to make a profound artistic statement. The statement being that she’s kind of a slut. Luckily, she’s anatomically as well as politically incorrect.

To make her snazzy glasses, BaBa sold her prison bitch, seen coyly in the background, for packs of cigs. And cigarettes don’t come cheap in the big house.

Maybe I’m just in a bad mood after reading the Grammy nominations heavily featuring another talentless, completely overrated pop star, Katy Perry. Oh, and also Rihanna.

Maybe I’m just bitter that the entertainment industry is at an all-time aestehtic low where mediocrity is awarded, nay, championed.

Maybe I’m just annoyed that at 20 years old, Taylor Swift has achieved so much for doing SO little, while other artists with far more talent who are far more interesting will continue to toil and struggle, sustained only by the passion for their craft and a healthy drug habit.

But whatever it is, I have absolutely no faith in pop culture anymore. I, who was your biggest fan. How could you, zeitgeist? How could you turn so violently? And who is to blame?

9/11, that’s who.Everything started sucking hardcore after that. The economy, Washington D.C., pop culture. It all went to hell in a knock-off Chanel handbag.

Pop phenom Ke$ha goes all out for her latest photo shoot with Entertainment Weekly. The LA party girl is really making an impact with her song Tik Tok, which is currently number one on the charts knocking off heavy weights like Lady Gaga and Beyonce. I’m really amazed at this rising star, but hope she’s not another one hit wonder we’ll soon forget.

Sidenote, how bad do you want her shoes? Seriously, I’d take it back to the 90′s and jack her shit like she was wearing the latest Jordan’s if I knew they were my size.

Lauren Conrad-and a giant camera lens-cover this week’s edition of Entertainment Weekly. In her cover story with EW, the wealthy fashion maven, poked fun at her ever-present entourage of paparazzi (hence the cover photo). The Princess of MTV also offered a few spoilers on the new season of The Hills, debuting August 18th at 10 p.m.

“It’s about empowering girls,” Lauren says of the explosive reaity series. “You’re gonna have bad boyfriends and best friends-turned-enemies. You need to be yourself, you need to work hard and you’ll get there.”
