The collector’s edition will do double duty as the magazine’s weighty September Fall Fashion issue, and will feature the first official spreads by Essence’s controversial fashion director, Elliana Placas.
Though it’s unknown if Elliana styled the cover, the fashion pages will undoubtedly receive lots of attention. Another thing to look forward to: an open letter by Michelle Obama to black women.
