SPREAD: Eva Herzigova for Vogue Paris by Hedi Slimane

I don’t really like Eva Herzigova, but here she is in the latest spread by Hedi Slimane for Vogue Paris.
MAG HAG: A Triple Threat for Vogue Korea

In celebration of their 13th Anniversary, Vogue Korea decided to do not one, not two, but THREE separate covers featuring members of the League of Extraordinary Supermodels. Legends Naomi, Claudia and Eva manage to look unmistakably stunning, not to mention ageless, doing what they do best.

Coach’s Love Affair With Ali Micheal
Just like Marc Jacobs’ infatuation with Jessica Stam and Louis Vuitton’s love for Eva Herzigova, Coach has fallen in love with model muse, Ali Micheal, enough to name a bag after her. The Ali bag, which is now available on Coach.com, is a hobo-style purse that ranges from a $150 signature pouch to a $650 large metallic hobo. The bags might not be anything terribly special (maybe this is saying something about Micheal’s personality), but at the end of the day, I’d love to have a purse inspired by me!

SPREAD UM: V Magazine Swimsuit Issue
V Magazine’s swimsuit issue is really the only thing I care about this week. Beautiful models, it tiny little swimwear equals more than enough joy for all of us. “We chose the sexiest bodies in the world and those that had a special connection to the Testino world; a lot of the guys and girls photographed grew up with V readers over the years.” Check out who made the cut below.

MAG HAG: Gisele Bundchen for V Mag Swimsuit Issue

Gisele Bundchen, along with five other supermodels (Kate Moss, Claudia Schiffer, Naomi Campbell, Eva Herzigova, Daria Werbowy) takes the cover of V Magazine’s summer issue – the first-ever Swimsuit issue. The issue is out on Wednesday, May 6th!

Supermodels Gisele Bundchen, Kate Moss, Claudia Schiffer and Daria Werbowy also nabbed covers.
SPREAD UM: Eva Herzigova for Vogue Paris

Eva Herzigova stars in this spread titled “Cherchez la Femme” shot by Walter Pfeiffer for Vogue Paris May 09. Personally, I don’t think she looks like her normal self, she’s getting a bit old for the modeling thing…
MAG HAG: Elle France April 09

The April 2009 issue of Elle France features the natural beauty (meaning no makeup whatsoever) of Monica Bellucci, Sophie Marceau, Eva Herzigova, Inès de la Fressange, Anne Parillaud, Karin Viard, Charlotte Rampling, and Chiara Mastroianni captured by Peter Lindbergh.
How very Brad Pitt of them.

ADDICT: H&M Spring 09 Campaign Featuring Eva Herzigova, Shalom Harlow and Vincent Gallo

Longtime friends Eva Herzigova and Shalom Harlow starred in the latest H&M campaign for spring 09. The two models posed alongside Vincent Gallo in, on top of and next to various red-orange oversized shapes. I think the campaign is super adorable; it’s airy, fun and carefree. The clothing is looking mighty fab as well. I can’t wait to see what else H&M has in store for this season.

FASHION PORN: Eva Herzigova For GQ
One of the world’s hottest supermodels recently posed for GQ magazine almost topless. Regardless of the lack of nippleage in the shoot, she still looks incredibly gorgeous.
The Supermodels Are Back
Amber Valletta in the Dsquared campaign.
Christy Turlington in her second Escada campaign.
Eva Herzigova in the Louis Vuitton campaign.
Claudia Schiffer in Chanel
Although celebrities have hijacked hordes of fashion ads in recent years, Nineties-era supermodels — displaying formidable powers of longevity — have returned with a vengeance in many of fall’s fashion campaigns. Even Marc Jacobs is going back to using models for his Fall campaign.
That Linda Evangelista is starring in Prada, Naomi Campbell in Yves Saint Laurent, Claudia Schiffer in Chanel and Salvatore Ferragamo, Eva Herzigova in Louis Vuitton and Christy Turlington in Escada suggests these industry thoroughbreds remain as bankable and fascinating as Hollywood’s best beauties.
Kate Moss
Gisele Bündchen
Raquel Zimmermann
In fact, models in general — from newbies to veterans — dominate the lion’s share of European designer campaigns for next season, from Daria Werbowy in Christian Dior and Raquel Zimmerman in Fendi to Angela Lindvall in Jimmy Choo and Kate Moss in Stella McCartney. Notable exceptions to the celebrity-free ad zone include Charlotte Gainsbourg for Balenciaga and Vanessa Paradis for Miu Miu — while many American brands also are sticking to the celeb road, such as Calvin Klein’s multiple use of Eva Mendes.

Donatella Versace credits her late brother Gianni for fueling the supermodel phenomenon by sending all the top girls down the runway together in 1991.

“He made the models into celebrities as he understood that the more famous they became, the better it would be for him,” she said. “I don’t really make a distinction between working with celebrities and working with models as I think girls like Christy Turlington and, more recently, Kate Moss and Gisele [Bündchen] are celebrities, just as well-known as many actors and musicians.”
