In celebration of their 13th Anniversary, Vogue Korea decided to do not one, not two, but THREE separate covers featuring members of the League of Extraordinary Supermodels. Legends Naomi, Claudia and Eva manage to look unmistakably stunning, not to mention ageless, doing what they do best.

Just like Marc Jacobs’ infatuation with Jessica Stam and Louis Vuitton’s love for Eva Herzigova, Coach has fallen in love with model muse, Ali Micheal, enough to name a bag after her. The Ali bag, which is now available on Coach.com, is a hobo-style purse that ranges from a $150 signature pouch to a $650 large metallic hobo. The bags might not be anything terribly special (maybe this is saying something about Micheal’s personality), but at the end of the day, I’d love to have a purse inspired by me!

Longtime friends Eva Herzigova and Shalom Harlow starred in the latest H&M campaign for spring 09. The two models posed alongside Vincent Gallo in, on top of and next to various red-orange oversized shapes. I think the campaign is super adorable; it’s airy, fun and carefree. The clothing is looking mighty fab as well. I can’t wait to see what else H&M has in store for this season.

Although celebrities have hijacked hordes of fashion ads in recent years, Nineties-era supermodels — displaying formidable powers of longevity — have returned with a vengeance in many of fall’s fashion campaigns. Even Marc Jacobs is going back to using models for his Fall campaign.

That Linda Evangelista is starring in Prada, Naomi Campbell in Yves Saint Laurent, Claudia Schiffer in Chanel and Salvatore Ferragamo, Eva Herzigova in Louis Vuitton and Christy Turlington in Escada suggests these industry thoroughbreds remain as bankable and fascinating as Hollywood’s best beauties.

Donatella Versace credits her late brother Gianni for fueling the supermodel phenomenon by sending all the top girls down the runway together in 1991.

“He made the models into celebrities as he understood that the more famous they became, the better it would be for him,” she said. “I don’t really make a distinction between working with celebrities and working with models as I think girls like Christy Turlington and, more recently, Kate Moss and Gisele [Bündchen] are celebrities, just as well-known as many actors and musicians.”
