From waxing to lasers, women have been living by the “pain is beauty” mantra since the beginning of time. In fact, some ladies go to crazy extremes for beauty, even if said extremes are entirely disgusting. From semen in your hair to bird poop on your face, here are the 6 most bizarre beauty treatments from all around the world.

Placenta supposedly oxygenates skin, boosts cell renewal, protects your skin from damage and diminishes wrinkles.

Around 70AD, wealthy Romans imported Portuguese urine (which contains whitening ammonia and other cleaning agents) to use as mouthwash. You might cleanse your palate but we can't guarantee fresh breath.

A common treatment found in Ethiopian salons is a full body butter rubdown, followed by sitting butt naked (wide legs) in a smoke hole until the butter melts. Apparently butter tightens your vajay after pregnancy, which makes it a very popular treatment.

Hari's, a salon in London, is offering its clients an Aberdeen Organic Bull Semen Treatment. This bull semen/ Katera plant mixture deeply conditions hair, leaving you with a shiny and full bodied mane, just don't stand near a farm.

Pig placenta is Japan's newest health drink. According to Nihon Sofuken, vitamin-packed pig placenta helps you undergo metabolic change and self healing.

Treat your face to The Geisha Facial. Also known as uguisu no fun, it is a facial made of Nightingale droppings that promises Geisha soft skin.
