Already I’ve been a bit frightened by recent pictures of Madonna’s arms, but now there’s yet another thing I find a little odd. Madonna’s makeup artist, Gina Brooke, reportedly applies 2 carat diamonds along the singer’s eyebrow for every night of her sticky and sweet tour. On the runways, makeup artists traded in the usual black for softer shades like brown, teal, and gray, for a rich, smoldering look that perfectly matches edgy-classic fashions. NARS created this earthy smoky look that is easy to do. This look can be great for a day or evening look.

For a smoldering combo of sultry browns, apply copper shadow to the lids, the inner corners, and at the base of the lower lash lines. Follow with a twig-tone shadow in the creases, blended up towards the brow bones using a smudge brush.
