what you see ahead of us are a flock of Erdemians. These creatures are
highly sophisticated fashionistas who are known to be very mellow
creatures, never aggressive and extremely tolerant. In fact, it’s even
been said that you can fart in the face of an Erdemian and can expect no
hostility. Now let’s get closer and try that out! *Surreptitiously
stalks the Erdemians, pouncing about in the bushes… WEEEE!!!*

Bobo Baroque: Step away from the Erdemians David! First of all, this isn’t no bloody planet Erdem… we were done with that
series in the last post on Missoni! Sheesh. Nat-Geo needs some fresh
material! We’re in London now! I think. *I haven’t really decided where
this story shall play out but whattheheck right?* And secondly, HOW DARE
YOU SWEAR ON DOMESTIC TELEVISION! You can only do that on the internet!
Like me! And thirdly, stick to your koala-bears, centipedes,
venus-fly-traps and cows please! *Mooo* Cause even though you can run
around in nature with a shirt and khaki trousers and never seem to ever
sweat/get dirty… THAT DOESN’T MAKE YOU A FASHION-REVIEWER-PERSON! Only
people like me! 15 year olds completely untrained in formal fashion
education with a delusional state of mind and too much time can be a
fashion-reviewer-person!

Continuing with my travelling back in time to previous fashion weeks, this time round we’re going back to London Fashion Week 2010 for
Erdem’s show! *as you may have guessed…*

Always bewitching with his surreally incandescent pieces (with their insanely
vivid prints!) which resonate so strongly with the romanticism of nature
and a charming sweetness, you can never not be viscerally affected by
Erdem.

And for this season, he did not disappoint.

Overall, I must say that I thoroughly enjoyed this collection, from his…

Vivid psychedelic-y prints

To his intricate embroidery

This collection was sumptuous, romantic, eccentric and playful. Yet, with little hints of maturity and
darkness… Very very delicious!

And I guess Erdem has proven to us once more that he’s a great designer… capable of making romantic, elegant pieces
for women, without making it feel dated or cliched… *not like Dior*
but rather eccentric, with the vivid prints and
embellishments/embroideries/decorations… and very very modern, with
strong yet flirtatious silhouettes.

With such stellar talent, that unique penchant for nature and quirky little designs… Erdem is
definitely one to watch!

And one completely deserving of being the first recipient of the BFC/Vogue
Designer Fashion Fund Award!
