Everyone knows mascara is a girl’s best friend, so it’s no secret that adding a little length to your eyelashes makes a world of a difference. When it comes to falsies, there are the natural, that may fool some, and the extreme – those beautifully bedazzled and feathers styles that will fool no one. We obviously love outrageous, theatrical beauty here at FashionIndie, so the faker the better when it comes to lashes. Here are some of the craziest, most flamboyant pairs we’ve seen.

Okay, so they’re a bit Vegas, but these were only the really crazy ones (they have regular lashes too)…the best part about this site, the most expensive lashes are $10, and that’s 10 pairs for $10…all of the rest run around $3-6, which is a total steal if you’ve ever bought eyelashes. I don’t care if these fake eyelashes are part of the “couture collection”. I don’t care if they are in collaboration with the Dutch designers of Viktor & Rolf. I don’t care if you’ve got some obscene obsession with sparkles or lace or feathers. Fake eyelashes, no matter who makes them or what they are made of, are a no-no. I took one look at the photo above and thought two tarantulas were attacking the disgustingly pale model. Slap on the green feathered fakes and people will question your daily hygiene thinking you’ve mold growing out of your eyes. Please, save the fake eyelashes for the runways and the editorials. Remember, it’s all about the natural look (surprise, surprise) and I don’t know of anyone who was born with blue peacock feathers coming out of their face.
