2011 has been a banner year for the gays. Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell was finally repealed. Super old gays in New York finally got to marry. A tranny supermodel finally made it onto Oprah. Santana finally came out on Glee. So why not show your resident gay that it truly does get better with one of these delightfully faggy holiday gifts.

Bonnaroo joins over 100,000 young music lovers together with the common objective of having the Greatest. Time. Ever. The festival went down this weekend in the hottest fun-brewing dustbowl this side of the Mississippi (and that side of the Mason Dixon Line). It was a feast (and challenge) for every sensation, and what everyone wore was truly sensational. I frolicked around with a Flip Cam tied to my body, sneakily capturing every outfit that caught my sparkling eyes. Upon reflection of these guerilla videos, I’ve snapshotted the trends that cropped up in This Tent and That and The Other, Which and What Stages. And this is what you wore:

WEEE!! FashionIndie is going to Bonnaroo! And this is the giant bag of tricks that’s coming with. (Plus the Wellies that I plan on purchasing in case of rain. Plus the glow sticks I will acquire in due time). While at Bonnaroo, we’ll be chatting the musicians up about their personal style, and how fashion makes their musical journey all the more interesting. American model Jacquelyn Jablonski shows us what cowgirls are made of, wearing knee-length braids, denim shirts and heavily embellished accessories. Styled by Olga Dunina, pieces from Pamela Love, Blumarine, Ralph Lauren and Stetson were used to create this western fantasy shot by Jason Kibbler. There’s something about western style that always makes me long for summer. Sigh.

I’ve always had a fascination with taxidermy, but this antelope fanny-pack by Carlee Fernandez might be taking it a little too far. Needless to say, I’m a bit torn…I’d never wear the thing but I just can’t stop staring at it…

Today’s edition of ‘would you wear’ is a fashion item that we bash constantly, mostly because it is seen more on tourists in Times Square then on fashionistas. Now that Louis Vuitton has made one, are we going to see more of them? Gucci attempted this a few years back, their version was more like a belt bag made famous by Carrie Bradshaw, but the LV version is def all fanny!

Engineered Garments decided that the fall and winter of 2009 was the right time for everyone to look like a total idiot. After watching every girl crash and burn while trying her hardest to make a fanny pack ironic enough to look cool, what would make any dude want to jump on the band wagon? If dumb girls with Gucci C’s plastered all over their crotches weren’t enough to keep you from attempting this, please heed my warning, keep the tweed, and your daily essentials off your fanny and get a damn wallet. If I see any of you wearing this, I will just assume the Mayans were right, and I’ll start really living it up big before 2012.
